im starting to get into this thing with iain in the graphics forum and theres something i gots ta know (bonus points if you know what movie thats from).

am i the only one who thinks the departed is overrated? i dont hate the movie, i just dont think its as good as people say it is. furthermore, i believe people like it just because its apparently uncool to think the departed isnt the greatest movie ever ever made.

for the first time ever, i am welcoming all opinions. except iains. fuck iain.

I though the deaparted was really good in the way it was put together but i would agree that it is slightly overrated. Still a damn good movie though

I love both, but I must say I did enjoy The Departed more than the Godfather. But I think that everyone could agree that Scarface is the most overrated gangster movie, at least since it's re-emergence of popularity over the last few years. And while I'm mentioning movies with Al Pacino, HEAT is fucking awesome!

Don't you dare say the Godfather was overrated. You fucking twats. Every part of that film, and even more so the second one, was intense, thrilling and wonderfully acted.

I laughed all the time I heard Jack Nicholson's Irish accent in the Departed.

The best thing about it was Comfortably Numb being the theme song.

Jobber does make a good point Scarface was a good movie thats it. it really is overrated and the departed was great i love all gangster movies. i dont think it was overrated but i cant say it was the best movie ever, but that cause i already have a best movie.

Wrong it aint the godfather thats one of top ones but my favorite is Saving Private Ryan. i never get tired of that movie.
