It doesn't matter what it is, I don't care if he was just trying out pot for the first time in his life (apparently the stuff just hit Canada Matt, watch out). It could very well be that the guy was in a bad frame of mind and alcohol pushed him over the edge. Without the alcohol, chances are he wouldn't have committed the crime. I reckon it'll come back something more serious than that though, years of steroid abuse, mixed with a nice cocktail of I can't wait to find out.

EDIT - I really think in all fairness that I've lost. It does put focus on the first killing though, as Daniel was sedated for his murder, Nancy wasn't. Was it rage? Did he snap due to testosterone, or was it the depression he obviously suffered from. It really does point toward the first one not being premeditated at all, but Daniel's was. He wasn't mentally stable for the entire weekend, which points toward it not being solely the testosterone. I'd put my money on far more deep seeded mental issues, like depression which he was taking medication for. I haven't seen depression at it's worst, but I've seen depression pretty bad, and it's more of a self hate thing, they don't take it out on other people. It's all very puzzling, there will be no answers from this one unfortunately, they've taken this story to their graves.
