Legendeath Posted March 7, 2007 Posted March 7, 2007 fingering....... go on, get your jokes in ladsDo scales a lot I had that same problem. After a couple of weeks I got the hang of it. Another possbility is it could be the guitar. Some times I just play better on some guitars. Quote

Legendeath Posted March 8, 2007 Posted March 8, 2007 think i need something a bit smaller, something the size of brian mays, might help me i thinkMeh. My schecter is small. I always thought Les Paul's were pretty small when you actually play them despite what you see. Quote
Jonny Posted March 8, 2007 Posted March 8, 2007 who cares? its a shit guitar and ugly design no matter what you call it. OP; I play guitar alot and Ive recently started developing my own style of experimental playing, because I rule. I play avant garde death metal (Though im getting a "studio musician" to record those tracks. Fuckin oath) and another band is just slam death. Ive written a bit for that but im actually just vocals and programming. So yeah. I play and write Slam and Avant Garde death metal. I like to think im quite good at guitar as well. I can sweep a few shapes but Im no Yngwie.. yet If you need any advice i can help i suppose but it depends what it is Edit: this topic is now about me Hmm, have you got any recordings that we could hear? I'm interested. Quote
Joe =/ Posted March 8, 2007 Posted March 8, 2007 lol, this conversation could so be taken the wrong way. Quote
Chillalex Posted March 8, 2007 Posted March 8, 2007 Hmm, have you got any recordings that we could hear? I'm interested. well the studio guitarist is going to do a 'test' track soon apparently, to see the level of quality the studio has that hes using. As for slam stuff, not at the moment because im not even meant to be doing the guitars (im vocals only..) but Ive written a few. Hill knows all too well my battle against recording but im on track now. OH but there is a small scratch track I put up on the myspack; http://www.myspace.com/archaicuk but excuse the playing, its really hideous. But you get the idea of whats going on. Alot of percussive techniques coupled with sweeps and broken arpeggios. Quote
Jonny Posted March 8, 2007 Posted March 8, 2007 (edited) I know what you were trying to get at, a diminished, scary feel. That would sound pretty decent with an industrial beat behind it. Edited March 9, 2007 by Jonny Quote
