Thom Posted March 1, 2007 Posted March 1, 2007 Ok, cunnilingus has been discussed to death, so let's move on to the next rite of passage you must go through in becoming a man; shaving. How do you shave, personally? Up until recently my facial-hair growth has been pretty patchy, but in the past month or two it's been getting thicker and fuller, to a nice density. I decided, for these reasons, to become a rugged motherfucker, and keep a decent level of stubble for the ladies, I shave once every other day, maybe every three days, with an electric beard trimmer to a #2 on the cheeks, moustache and jawline, and a #1 on the underside of my chin/neck. I've also got longer sideburns which reach down to my earlobe, these are sitting pretty at a #4. Quote
Fozy Posted March 1, 2007 Posted March 1, 2007 I either shave or don't. I'm so not cool enough to grow anything worth taking time over. Quote
Thom Posted March 1, 2007 Author Posted March 1, 2007 You should give it a try, facial hair can make a huge difference to your appearance (I consider it to have made even ME 600% more attractive) and takes extremely little effort to maintain. Quote
Chillalex Posted March 1, 2007 Posted March 1, 2007 when ive not got work on my mind I shave about once every three days. I let my sideburns grow to the bottom of my face BUT if im getting dressed up then I cut them to just under my ear and trim them with scissors (though the scissor action is about once a month. Im due now). I like to keep a little bit of shadow on the face as I really dont like the clean shaven look, but I let it get out of hand if im stressed about things and havent had chance to do anything to my looks. The top of my lip is kept the cleanest. I never want a scoot-stache, and for that reason, i do it about every two days whether it looks like it needs it or not. I keep a beard trippin though, not too long at all but enough to cover me. Most afraid i cant give you the grades but shaving; its a mans sport. Suprised youve gone electric, mind. I dont like electric shavers; I much prefer razors and shaving foam. Dry shaving though, just isnt fun but is sometimes a necessity. Quote
Fozy Posted March 1, 2007 Posted March 1, 2007 I remember the first time I tried that Mach 3 Turbo thing, I thought it was gonna slash my face all over and cause massive blood loss. It barely vibrates or anything, which sucked. I do prefer the manual foam and razors. Yeah, I hate those scoot-stashes, makes you look like a right muppet. I might do something, if I do, I'll provide pictures. Quote
Thom Posted March 1, 2007 Author Posted March 1, 2007 Scoot-stache, genius! Luckily mine's just about joined up with my cheeks, so it doesn't look like I'm 13 years old and attempting to buy Special Brew to drink down the park. One thing that's really annoying though is that my chin is almost completely hairless. I have a sould patch under my bottom lip, but I would give my right foot to be able to grow a line down from there down the middle of my chin. It's no surprise that I've opted for the electric shave, I don't like having a babyface, and there's no way to avoid that look with a wet-shave, even on the very shortest setting of a trimmer there's going to be at least some shadow left, and that's what I'm after. CS Posted March 1, 2007 Posted March 1, 2007 I remember the first time I tried to shave all my facial hair off and somehow managed to slice the shit out of my ear. Quote
Nemo Posted March 1, 2007 Posted March 1, 2007 i shave the face and keep the sideburns at the bottom of my ears. i hope to one day have a zz-top beard. man, that'll be sweet. Quote
jitz Posted March 1, 2007 Posted March 1, 2007 Im 21 and I have a distinct inability to grow facial hair. I can stretch time between shaves to about 2 weeks using a razor, around 5 days with an electric. Either way when I do decide to shave, it's like this short patchy mess that no female would ever get attracted to. Quote
scoot Posted March 1, 2007 Posted March 1, 2007 i agree, the scoot-stahe however has been gone for a long time now. all i gotta really focus on is what to do with the hair on my head Quote
Aero Posted March 1, 2007 Posted March 1, 2007 my stubble grows like a bastard, when i cant be bothered i just use my electric razer as its shit at its purpose so leaves stubble, otherwise it all comes off, i shave at night as, by the morning i will then have some subble again which does make me look better imo. sideburns have been down to the bottom of my lobes or there about for about 8-9 years now! Quote
Big Bizang Posted March 1, 2007 Posted March 1, 2007 I can barely leave the house if I feel a bit of scratchiness on the old face there. I electric shave every morning til it's smooth. I too have a distinct inability to grow facial hair Jitz, I feel your pain. My flatmates still remember the 'hilarity' of October's vaunted 'Beardwatch'. Quote
Aero Posted March 1, 2007 Posted March 1, 2007 ming, you're thousands of years old, as such you HAVE to have a beard, its like a law or something. Quote
Spectre Posted March 2, 2007 Posted March 2, 2007 shaving is fun right now im letting my goatee grow in and after that grows in really good ill shave again. Quote
Jobber Posted March 2, 2007 Posted March 2, 2007 shaving is fun right now.... It will soon become a chore and you will hate it. Atleast I do. Quote
crunk Posted March 2, 2007 Posted March 2, 2007 Most chicks I know prefer facial hair to be 'felt but not seen', so that's what I usually stick with. Quote
CanaMatt Posted March 2, 2007 Posted March 2, 2007 yeah, thats usually what I stick with when it comes to rape. Quote
jitz Posted March 2, 2007 Posted March 2, 2007 LMFAO I nearly fell off my chair. Yeah I've got no more comments about facial hair, you know it's like when a group of people are talking about sex and you haven't had it yet. Matt just deserved the laugh. Quote
