Mate what you need to do is right click on the DC movie creator exe and select propertys then go to compatiblity and select win98...

then it should work ;)

Hi I have a few questions regarding the DC Movie creator and Movie editing:

I exported some sfd files from the Svr07-disc and noticed that the sfd files only consist of one .mpv (Mpg I) video stream. There's no audiostream. So I guess, that sdf files for SvR shouldn't have any audio... But heres the problem: DC Movie Creator won't allow me to generate a sdf file without audio! That means whenever I choose a video file which has no audiostream I get an error message. Is there any way to create a sdf file without audio?? And when I choose to create a sfd file that has also an audiostream will that sdf file be played ingame?

I also tried another way: Since Sdf is basically a mix of MPG I video and Adx audio I tried to create an Mpg video instead of sdf file.

I created an mv1-file with DC Mocie creator (no audiostream required), renamed the file ending to .sdf, put it on the gamedisc and burned the disc. However that didn't worked - there was just a black movie during the entrance and the game freezed.

Then I converted the mv1-file to mpg I with the help of TMPEnc and renamed the file ending to .sfd. This time it worked quite well: Movie did play but there were some ugly pixelations during the entrance.

So I wonder what's the best way to get some good vids in SVR07...Should I convert my vids to sdf with DC Movie Creator(together with audio) or create a MPG I file that just contain the videostream? Or is there another solution? Also I wonder what are the best video settings regarding Bitrate, Aspect ratio and stuff like that.... Any help and advice is appreciated!

I just made a blank wav and mixed that

Thats the same problem we have had since SVR, no one has been able to get around this yet?

Thanks for answer Draven!

Now I finally made a Sdf file of AJStyles Entrance vid and I noticed that the result is exactly the same as the renamed mpg vid I created before with TMPEnc... So I guess you don't actually need DC Movie Creator - any MPG I encoder should do the job too. The result is the name. Just rename the mpg file ending to .sdf.

I uploaded a short vid of how it looks ingame (damm pixels!):

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z1CmQxOLHq4

And here's another vid. This is also a renamed MPG file, but I created it with another encoder (SUPER):

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=19kwg4aAGJo

I was suprised of how sharp the vid was! There are nearly no pixels in the entrance vid itself (notice how you can read the Letters). The downside is the odd colors in the Smackdown logo during the whole entrance! Thats really annoying. The sdf vid above also has this Smackdown logo colors but only for a few seconds.

*Sigh* I think this is a deadend. Well, lets hope that someone finds a solution for that problem one day.

Hmm that would work I guess.. Do you know the filename of SD Logo tron so I can try it?

And for the video, its easy:

1. Download and install "SUPER"

2. Start SUPER and choose these settings:

supersettingsjw3.jpg

3. Now put your videofile you want convert in the windows below. (Use Drag-and-Drop or rightclick!)

4. Click "Encode"

5. Rename the file ending of the created videofile to ".sfd" and the filename to the appropiate file you want to replace (i.e. "nmv035.sfd")

6. Done!

That super program works great. Great find thanks for sharing. I have added a few titantrons, but I have the same problem you had with the arena logo pixeling. I was just wondering if anyone knows where to find the video files for the PPVs and shows so I can try and fix them.

Mate you just need to search the same folder... I have an Idear maybe the arena trons are not vids their made up of pics.. in the last game use GGS in the PAC folder and u will find parts that makeup the arena trons..?

Thanks Draven, I will look for those, and hopefully I can get them fixed. I am going to add all my new tronz and then replace the PAC file with the original from the store bought disc. Maybe that will clear the pixeling.

not sure if anyone realizes this but just because u type .sfd it does not make the converted files an sfd, just a file with the name .sfd

All the sfd file's are mpeg1 incoded...

but we dont have a convertor for the game format...

and this way has better resaults then movie creator...

I just came back to SvR and tried to find the logos for the entrances but couldn't find them in the MOVIE folder. So i checked the PAC folder and there's indeed a "movie.pac" in there but here's the million dollar question: How to extract/open this? I tried to open it with Game Graphic Studio but that didn't work. Tried to search for answers with google but no luck :( So if anyone here is part of the development team of SvR07, I think this is the right time to step out from the shadow and speak up...

Just thought of an idea that may or may not solve your pixelation problems. I've added custom titantrons to WWE HCTP and some have worked with no pixelation at all. I used tpmg encoder to convert video into a m1v file, and a SFDMUX program that I found a while ago on a dc hacking site that's based on the DC Movie Creator, except for the fact that your output sfd movies are encoded with the same bitrate, framerate and resolution as the input and you don't need sound files added with them. It must be run through command prompt however. One of the above difference may help cause the pixelation. In the settings for HCTP, or the PAL version to be specific, the m1v video is encoded at 25fps with a 1:1 pixel ratio, a bit rate of 1500kbps and a pixel resolution of 256x256. I have looked at sfd's from my 2009 PAL and 2006 NTSC SvRs and noted them. The settings used in 2009 are 224x192 resolution, with a CBR of 1500kbps. The settings for SvR 2006 are 224x192 with a CBR of 1500kbps as well, so the settings for 2008 and 2007 maybe the same. Also the frame rate depends on the region i.e. PAL being 25fps and NTSC being 29.97.
