in defense of the americans

their spelling is far easier for lazy people, and I prefered the letter Z to S anyways so it doesnt matter.

And their system of measuring time in music makes much more sense. Which is why I learnt it.

but people laugh at me when I say 16ths or something. I dont know it just makes much more sense than crotchets and minims and all that.

But I always prefer spelling Paedophile with an A. Its just better that way.

I'm going to assume that was directed towards me. Me being the anti-argumentative type would say fine and leave it there. And I will with just one question. Why say "Fuck off." It's true, that there’s a difference between "paedophile" and ephebophile. So is that "Fuck off." Comment just for the fact of pointing it out, or a release of frustration? Either way I'm sure this will end with some random flame, a humorous joke, and everything settling back to normal.

i dont understand why theres an A in the word. in "caeser" the ae is pronounced as an E. the E in pedophile has the "eh" sound. so phonetically paedophile would be pronounced "peedophile" which...is weird.

if an appropriately dropped letter is wrong, i dont want to be right.

americans pronounce it as Ped-oh-file (i know this through cannibal corpse songs)

english people pronounce it as Peed-oh-file (i know this through The Sun newspaper.)

its not weird, just a national difference. To us, pedophile is weird. Its like Vag-in-al instead of vag-ine-al. Which again I heard through cannibal corpse.
