The Don Posted January 16, 2007 Posted January 16, 2007 All my Nirvana fans will be happy at this one. I'm getting word that Courtney Love has given the big "OK" for a movie on the late, great Kurt Cobain. The movie is based on "Heavier Than Heaven," a book by Charles Cross. Rumors @ AllHipHop.com I don't think that a hip-hop rumor page is the most reliable source on a Nirvana movie bu, eh. I may not be a big fan of Nirvana (I do have 2 of their CDs however) I would definatly want to see a movie on them happen. Discuss. Quote
scoot Posted January 16, 2007 Posted January 16, 2007 ......sounds intresting, ill be sure to look out for that, i hope theres more than one ending, with a good few addressing he conspiracy theorys. and hopefully this will be better than 'last days'. on another note, courtney love seems a lot more at ease latley with allowing people to do things in relation to kurt.......true she made some money on the 25% of the music she sold, but still Quote
Big Bizang Posted January 16, 2007 Posted January 16, 2007 I really don't see why we need movies about this. One was more than enough. Kurt Cobain was a manic depressive, over-hyped mediocre song-writer and musician who shot himself... end of story. Quote
Tychoma Posted January 17, 2007 Posted January 17, 2007 Completely unnecessary but I'll probably watch it. Quote
bigpoppn Posted January 17, 2007 Posted January 17, 2007 finally...a movie i will watch but like Bizang said he shot himself Quote
scoot Posted January 19, 2007 Posted January 19, 2007 with 3 hello's in a streak in a nirvana thread i feel its needed to say 'how low' Quote
LordSpawn Posted January 19, 2007 Posted January 19, 2007 Nirvana was the only rock band i listened to other than aerosmith(when i was like 8 rofl) and 1 of the only good rock bands period Can't wait for the movie Quote

Nemo Posted January 19, 2007 Posted January 19, 2007 greatest rock band ever? who exactly are you comparing them to? limp bizkit? Quote

Nirvana's music had a meaning to it, they tried to have it relate to the "tortured people" so to they called it, most of their fans that eventually became emo because they had nothing to relate or to look up to after Nirvana, I personally liked their music but never became emo. Nirvana was also popular because they made the ALTERNATIVE genre of music in a way, I never know why everyone is so prejudice towards bands. So the band just died, the drummer created The Foo Fighters and the bassist did basically nothing. Back on topic, it's just going to be the same as the past one. Quote
The Don Posted January 20, 2007 Author Posted January 20, 2007 greatest rock band ever? who exactly are you comparing them to? limp bizkit? ← I'LL BREAK YOUR FUCKING FACE TONIGHT!!!11 Quote

CS Posted January 21, 2007 Posted January 21, 2007 I thought they weren't even a rock band, they were grundge or some shit. Quote
scoot Posted January 21, 2007 Posted January 21, 2007 yea grunge is like a brach off of rock, like metal is a branch off of rock, there diffrent genres mixed within a large genre. if that makes any sense Quote
bigpoppn Posted January 21, 2007 Posted January 21, 2007 I thought they weren't even a rock band, they were grundge or some shit. ← yeah its Grunge but its not sooooo diffirent to rock Quote
scoot Posted January 22, 2007 Posted January 22, 2007 take a look at that and see that grunge is a FORM of rock, not a diffrent genre all together Quote
