Fozy Posted December 7, 2006 Posted December 7, 2006 As most of you know, my mum has cancer. she got it pretty badly recently as she has now got bone cancer, lung cancer, liver, neck and breast cancer. she was doing really well battling it all, and she was get much, much stronger. last week today she was out christmas shopping; doing what she loves most; doing things to make people happy. she was get a lot more active recently, but she cut her finger on the same day and it got infected. as some of you may know(sal?) when you go through treatment and cancer and everything for 5 years, your immune system becomes very low and well, my mum most've been at a low stage and the infection got the better of her over the next 2 days. her finger swelled up and on friday she got so bad that i needed to get an ambulance for her at 3am to go to hospital. i sat with her for a few hours and decided to go home. a few days later i realised she was getting a bit confused, not really understanding why she was there etc. it got worse on tuesday when she didn't even know who i or my sister was and didn't know where she was either. today we got told her situation is critical; basically she has days left to live(if that), and well it's just a waiting game now. So, as a result me and my sister are gonna live ourselves and probably not be able to afford things such as the internet/this house for some time, and that means no smacktalks, heh. I'll be on in the next few days, hopefully i can sort out things financially and stay on. but until then, goodbye guys. Don't miss this good ol' horse too much! Quote

Legendeath Posted December 9, 2006 Posted December 9, 2006 Damn Iain, I feel really sorry for you. It's sad yet amazing hearing what has happened to you, yet you still continue to move forward. If it makes you feel any better I'll post this guide I found along at a website I used to go to which might help you. Credit: EH.info steelmaverick July 26th, 2006, 09:57 PM Alright now, I've figured out a way to get free dialup - nothing to download, no BS. All you need is a modem and a cellphone with long distance. Cingular with unlimited Nights and Weekends works great. Basically what makes all this work is a special code you enter on your cellphone. You dial *21*XXX-XXX-XXXX# on your cell. This is a special code that makes the phone forward all calls to a specific number, which is what the X's are. To exit this mode, dial #21#. Now there are places that offer free dialup, but they are located in New England. So, using the cellphone hack, you enter the number of one of the dialup servers as the X's on your cellphone, and using your computer, set up a connection with the username as "guest" and the password as "password". But, you put your cellphone number as the number to dial. When you connect, your modem dials your cellphone, which routes the call to the number you specified. This is a great way to get long distance using your cellphone minutes! Note: When you do this, it uses your cellphone minutes. Make sure to call your provider to make sure there isnt an extra charge for the long distance call. Below are the numbers as well as the username and password. Name : Guest Pass : Password Numbers: Bainbridge: (206) 312-1000 Bainbridge: (206) 312-1500 Bainbridge: (206) 312-2500 Bainbridge: (206) 312-3700 Bellevue: (425) 786-1000 Bellevue: (425) 786-1111 Bellevue: (425) 786-7777 Bellevue: (425) 786-5073 Black Diamond: (360) 469-1000 Black Diamond: (360) 469-1111 Black Diamond: (360) 469-2000 Black Diamond: (360) 469-2222 Buckley: (360) 641-1000 Buckley: (360) 641-1111 Buckley: (360) 641-1001 Buckley: (360) 641-1002 Centralia: (360) 523-1000 Centralia: (360) 523-1111 Centralia: (360) 523-1001 Centralia: (360) 523-1002 Graham: (253) 780-1000 Graham: (253) 780-1100 Graham: (253) 780-2000 Graham: (253) 780-2020 Hoodsport: (360) 717-1000 Hoodsport: (360) 717-1111 Hoodsport: (360) 717-1122 Hoodsport: (360) 717-1133 Olympia: (360) 515-3000 Olympia: (360) 515-3001 Olympia: (360) 515-3030 Olympia: (360) 515-3131 Seattle: (206) 495-1000 Seattle: (206) 424-1111 Seattle: (206) 337-5050 Seattle: (206) 337-5252 This is all FREE, no questions asked. Thom Posted December 9, 2006 Posted December 9, 2006 I usually hate having to say sentimental stuff, but I want to make an exception for a situation like this. Cherish the time you've got left with your Mum, make sure she knows how much you love her. You definitely don't deserve this to happen to you, I can't even comprehend how awful it must be for you and your sister, the fact you haven't completely broken down shows that you're an extremely strong person, I know I couldn't do it. You and your sister aren't going to be alone, obviously I don't know your exact circumstances, but there are going to be a lot of family, extended family, friends of the family and friends of yours and your sisters who are going to want to help to support you. Make sure your sister knows that you're always there for her though, and vice versa, cause you're the only two people who are going to be able to understand how each other feels. Much Love, hope to see you back soon. Quote
