I can't take it!

I know the problem I just can't find out how to fix it. It's my Gifs they have been broken for months such as smiley animations or Don's animations or even my animated avatar and it's annoying me to a point where I wanna call a computer expert.

I've tried Firefox, IE, and Opera. None of them work so im guessing it's what my computer uses to play the files but the thing I can't figure out is how to change it to play them in browsers. I've tried going into my preferences in Quicktime and even told Firefox to open them with Windows Picture and Fax editor. I went to Internet Options and told it to play Gif's and such. What confuses me is that the Gifs in Messengers such as Aim and MSN can play the Gif's but not any of my browsers.

I'm just asking if anyone knows the problem or advice or and links to somewhere that could help. Thanks.
