Smacktalks Posted November 18, 2006 Posted November 18, 2006 I'm trying to create a Copy button, i.e. Copy & Paste so that when you click the copy button it automatically copies whats in the textbox. Example Form: TEXTBOX COPYBUTTON When you click copy it slects whats typed in TEXTBOX and copies it to the clipboard. Any ideas on how I can do this? :2 Quote
Nemo Posted November 18, 2006 Posted November 18, 2006 why not just make a "select all" button and have the lazy cunts copy the thing themselves? Quote
RingMaster2001 Posted November 18, 2006 Posted November 18, 2006 Or not bother and let them highlight the text and copy it? It's not really going to attract more members here is it. Quote
Smacktalks Posted November 18, 2006 Author Posted November 18, 2006 It's not for here, it's part of a tool I'm creating in work. Basically the exe I'm creating runs a registry fix when you click the button and also copies an update of what you've done to the clipboard ready to paste in to the log. Quote
Nemo Posted November 18, 2006 Posted November 18, 2006 google it with whatever programming language you're using. Quote
Smacktalks Posted November 18, 2006 Author Posted November 18, 2006 I tried that first, the only relevant link you had to pay to see the answer. Other than that it was a button that copies from one textbox to another but there was no real way of modifiying it to use the clipboard. Quote
CanaMatt Posted November 18, 2006 Posted November 18, 2006 Mix equal parts cocaine, and baking soda in water. Boil until all the water dissolves. Quote
manDude Posted November 20, 2006 Posted November 20, 2006 I might be able to get you an answer tommorow since I have intro To programing, and we use VB. Can you give me what you have so far for your code so I can tell my teacher that I am doing it "just for fun". But on a side note, I made an auto clicker in VB. Quote
CanaMatt Posted November 20, 2006 Posted November 20, 2006 Then when you don't know what you're doing you'll sound like a moron. I highly doubt that'll be the first thing you'll learn tomorrow. I don't see you being any help at all you prick. Quote
Nemo Posted November 20, 2006 Posted November 20, 2006 Ugh. I hate you. STFU n00b. ← n00b? not only has he been here longer than you, but hes got like ~2700 more posts than you as well. you're the noob, bra. Quote
Smacktalks Posted November 20, 2006 Author Posted November 20, 2006 Thanks man dude but I've pretty much got it sorted for now. I managed to do it in VB but the code only copies to the clipboard locally in VB, so it wasn't allowing me to paste in to other applications. I've since redone it in MS Access, it's not as professional but it seems to work a lot better. Quote
RingMaster2001 Posted November 21, 2006 Posted November 21, 2006 Yeah well. I was half joking. Jeez. ← Ugh. I hate you. STFU n00b. Quote
