Can't Be Arsed Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 I'm pretty sure this has been brought up before, but I'd really like to see a football forum here, and I know ming does as well. He said he'd "look into it" but I can't wait that long. It would be great wouldn't it? We could talk about how great Pro Evolution is and how shit FIFA is amongst other hot footballing issues. We could even change a few things for it like Smacktalks.Org! Got Balls?! Ok maybe not, but I think its gotta be done, I'm even prepared to mod it myself and ever-re-ting, so who's with me? Quote
Jonny Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 No offence, but that's a horrible idea, it would fail misserably. You and ming would probobly be the only posters in it. Quote
Can't Be Arsed Posted November 14, 2006 Author Posted November 14, 2006 We're worth about fifteen regular posters each though, through the pure quality of our postage. Quote
Nemo Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 just go to that soccer board that ming goes to. Quote
Can't Be Arsed Posted November 14, 2006 Author Posted November 14, 2006 Don't bother posting in this topic if you're going to use the S word. Quote

Jobber Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 Why don't we just have a general sports forum? Quote
RingMaster2001 Posted November 15, 2006 Posted November 15, 2006 A General Sports forum is a good idea, and I think we should have one. Football is a far better than wrestling as well. Also, there were alot of posts in this chat during the World Cup, so it obviously has the potential. Quote
Jonny Posted November 15, 2006 Posted November 15, 2006 Why not just post sport related subjects in the general chat? It would be less hastle and the next world cut isn't for four years... Maybe if the wrestling discuission was renamed sports discuission and a football subforum was put in it, would that make you happy? Quote
Can't Be Arsed Posted November 15, 2006 Author Posted November 15, 2006 Ok the other night Iain Dowie was sacked from Charlton, I think that would be a good discussion point for a football forum. Suppose I post that here in GC, would you like that? Do you know who Iain Dowie is? I can't suppose you'd like topics like that in here no? Quote
Nemo Posted November 15, 2006 Posted November 15, 2006 we all know who iain is. hes a fucking mod here for christs sake. Quote
Can't Be Arsed Posted November 15, 2006 Author Posted November 15, 2006 A distinct lack of funnies there Sal, even for you. Quote

I'm going to ask for a sports forum, General Chat isn't appropriate, and don't even think about classing Wrestling as a sport. If you wouldn't post in it Jonny, then what's the problem with having one? There is enough interest, just not from you. So stay out of it. Quote
Aero Posted November 15, 2006 Posted November 15, 2006 i dont think there is need for it really, appart from the world cup and the odd football match there is little amount of topics about it, similar goes for other sports.. only less again. that said, if a few more ppl voice interest im sure it could be given a trial run.
