Guess What Game I Got Today?

Don't yas just hate us Europeans with our early release date for Smackdown vs. Raw 07???

So yea, I got it at 9 o'clock this mornin and have been playin it all day. I have the 360 version. I broke my left hand really badly a few weeks ago but I've been managing ok... lol (thank god)

Right... so the game kicks ass. Season mode is great, the arenas are great. lots of new moves animations but not a whole heap of new moves unfortunately. (the celtic cross is in there... I remember some people hoping for that)

CAW is pretty much exactly the same as the last few years... I mean, most the things that people wanted changes hasn't. most notably (for me, anyway) you still can't make Sabu's pants in the game and there's also no new hair styles which sucks... hair is the same as it's been for years which is dissapointing especially on 360. :> The good news is, though that the clothes.. t-shirts, tank tops etc.. aren't "painted on" like in all the smackdowns til now. which is cool

There are some really shit things that I've noticed though that piss me off...

remember my post on how they've fixed the "auto-pin" problem. well that's fine for moves like powerbombs that have tons of different versions... but a lot of other moves are a different story altogether..

Imagine my horror when playing in a TLC with RVD.. edge set up on the table and me on the ladder.... I go for the frogsplash... but what the fuck!?!? instead of a frogsplash with no pin.. we get an elbow drop. FUCKIN LAME.... a flippin' elbow drop?? nice goin' THQ.... >: there's a few other moves like this I've noticed today.

Also, lots of the entrances are fucked up.. specifically the announcments. rember the IGN video of the DX entrance? well when you play as DX they are announced as "Trrrrrrrrriple H" >: also in matches where you have a manager... if you win the match the announcer annouces both you and the manager as the winners of the match. there;s loadsa little annoying things like that I've noticed today.

And wait til you see the pic of Finaly on the choose a wrestler screen.. he looks exactly like Cena... it's ridiculous. :2 even more than he does in the IGN pics...

The ECW arena in the game is the ONS arena and although it's locked from the beginning.. if you go into PPV mode you can play sample PPVs which include ONS : Angle vs. Orton and RVD vs Cena. Once again the ECW venue is a huge arena as opposed to a small Ballroom or bingo hall. which is disappointing.

One thing that I was dying to dicover was if the @hotspot" moves varied from wrestler to wrestler... they don't. I was hoping for an RVD legdrop from the apron to the barricade... but no-dice

hmmmm.... let's see.... I'm just tryin to fill you guys in on a lot of the stuff that hasn't been mentioned on the previews etc..

emmm... oh yea, The Boogeyman makes his opponent eat worms when you win a match. the whole ring is crawling with worms too which looks pretty cool. there's also a Hearse in the parkinglot brawl that the boogeyman is hiding in. he stays in there but does a few funny things during moves using that vehicle.

In the bar-room brawl you can do an Austin classic and grab a coupla beers and have a little toast with your opponent. they're greatful for the beer and you both drink up before you land a stunner on their ass. I was Mick Foley vs. Edge when I did this... it was funny.

Oh yea.... NO DX ATTIRES, it seems. the only 2 attires you can buy in shopzone are a suits for HHH and JBL. seriously.. who ever picks those outfits?? they suck ass....

oh, and Taz is wearing his oldschool ECW attire when you unlock him
