ebay have banned my account.

their reason? because i recently changed my screen name (on saturday) to "aerofreak26" as such they feel i am connected to an "aerofreak10" who has been banned apparently and think i am the same person.

i have been using ebay for 3 or 4 years and as soon as i change my name they ass fuck me.

i wouldnt mind but im not long after buying something and now they tell me it has been cancelled.... I ALREADY PAID FOR IT!!!!!

Have you contacted them about this? It's a pretty reasonable assumption for them to make, you'd be pissed if a serial scammer wasn't caught and ripped you off. They must be able to find out that you aren't the same person if you email them.

yeah, i did contact them, but why would they assume that someone who's just changed their name but been an active member for over 3 years with a 97.8% rating with 100+ stars and a uk confirmed paypal address as well as a successful seller be a serial scammer? its not that logical, different name, address, password etc its pathetic. fuckers! i wouldnt mind as much if it wasnt for the item i bought, chances are it will take forever to get the money back if i ever do get it back

i got my item on thursday, so thats good.

however, ebay keep replying to me, no matter what i say back, with something along the lines of "we caanot lift the ban on this account until you request an appeal to the ban on the account for 'aerofreak10' if you do not have access to theregistered email address of this account, reply to this message"

its a fucking farce. plus it means im gonna have to actually go shopping this christmas.

well... i have a new address with a subscription email account, and this problem only occoured when i changed my screen name, so avoid aerofreak names and i'm in.

it could be a competition, whoever comes up with the best name will get either an ST! platinum account paid for or the monetary equivilant into their paypal account, how could that NOT encourage ppl to be creative lol
