Jonny Posted October 18, 2006 Posted October 18, 2006 I don't know what to do, it's really fucking upsetting me http://www.belfasttelegraph.co.uk/news/sto...sp?story=710563 Quote
Tychoma Posted October 18, 2006 Posted October 18, 2006 Damn, pretty dark story, sorry to hear about your friend. I can't begin to understand anorexia, she was gorgeous in the 'before' picture. Hope she pulls through it. Quote
Nemo Posted October 18, 2006 Posted October 18, 2006 i was going to put 'boy' in the title (again) but thats a bit low, even by my standards. hope she gets well :\ Quote
Big Bizang Posted October 18, 2006 Posted October 18, 2006 Yeah I mean there is a light at the end of the proverbial tunnel so to speak. She hasn't been given a death sentence has she? Quote
Jonny Posted October 18, 2006 Author Posted October 18, 2006 without treatment, death is certain. She's refusing treament. Quote
Big Bizang Posted October 18, 2006 Posted October 18, 2006 So what I'm saying is that potentially she could be fine if someone got through to her. With all due respect I would find it incredibly difficult not to be very pissed off at her if I was in your position. Quote
Jonny Posted October 18, 2006 Author Posted October 18, 2006 she has alot of bad history, I'm not pissed at her. She's been in hospital because of this before but no where near the way she is now. Quote
Jonny Posted October 18, 2006 Author Posted October 18, 2006 I don't really know, she's psycologically damaged. Quote
Fozy Posted October 18, 2006 Posted October 18, 2006 She's fucking ill, give her treatment whether she wants it or not. Quote
ALL STAR Posted October 18, 2006 Posted October 18, 2006 She should be able to recieve treatment if she is mental unstable to make her own decisions. Not sure how to go about it though. Quote
Aero Posted October 18, 2006 Posted October 18, 2006 the unfortunate matter is it takes too much time for things such as these to be decided, i just hope by the time they decide if she is mentally unfit to recieve the treatment its not to late, there is too much shite about rights these days and a fear of getting sued, but when peoples lives are at risk it should be a case of fuck the rule book. i feel sorry for the nurses too, they will have to deal with the brunt of this when they are doing all the legally can from what i gather. i really hope she pulls through, there is nothing harder than watching someone you know and care about slowly die infront of you, i'd imagine there is nothing worse for a parent. Quote
Heart Breaker Posted October 18, 2006 Posted October 18, 2006 Wow Jonny, I'm very sorry to hear about this. It's a very sad story. I hope she gets the treatment she needs and gets better. You're in my thoughts, bro. Quote
Jonny Posted October 18, 2006 Author Posted October 18, 2006 Thanks alot guys, I'll keep you updated with her condition of you want. Quote
Thom Posted October 18, 2006 Posted October 18, 2006 She's 17, don't her parents decide if she gets treatment or not? Quote
scoot Posted October 19, 2006 Posted October 19, 2006 sorry to hear about this jonny, i know this cant be easy for you. i hope she pulls through Quote
RingMaster2001 Posted October 19, 2006 Posted October 19, 2006 16 is the age of consent. Can't she be sectioned under the Mental Health Act then force treatment? Quote
Jonny Posted October 19, 2006 Author Posted October 19, 2006 Well there is good news, she's finally agreed to have treatment and is eating again. I just hope she doesn't have heart failure again or something. Quote
Fozy Posted October 19, 2006 Posted October 19, 2006 Yay. Tell her that everyone at the Smacktalks.org | Got Codes? community is wishing her well. Quote
samountain Posted October 21, 2006 Posted October 21, 2006 Well there is good news, she's finally agreed to have treatment and is eating again. I just hope she doesn't have heart failure again or something. Sorry to hear mate. Tell us how she is after. I must admit, when I hear stuff like this it makes me angry at the person for being so stupid, but I'm sure deep down it's not their fault. Hope she gets better. Quote
