Nemo Posted September 2, 2006 Posted September 2, 2006 first off, you cant make me regard what i disregard. also, you can say yours is better. really, we cant argue over aesthetics because even people with shit taste have their right to an opinion. everyone seems to think its the greatest sig ever made, so for kicks, i'll do a little comparison of all the elements involved in both: animation: dons - 50 frames via converted video, 14 frames via default ani shop image transition, image with circle cut out pasted over the animation sals: 335 custom frames, no default effects used, created by combining multiple animations. winner: sal background: dons: solid black, burned image sals: animated bg, depth effect created by bg images moving at different rates. winner: sal text: dons: small burned text, hardly visible, good positioning sals: visible text, relevent font and color scheme, great text positioning winner: sal difficulty and mechanics: dons: perfect looping (thanks to me), can be remade with relative ease (already has) sals: perfect looping, cannot be easily remade winner: sal aesthetics: dons: a bitch dancing and screaming, nice to look at for a few seconds, animation is round...which is a good shape, or something. sals: not as redundant, entertains as it plays. doesnt have to be morphed into a different shape to look better. winner: both look great. draw. 5-1: sal by judges decision! of course, i could be biased. maybe i am. comments/criticisms are welcome from iain and joe. you can post an opinion too, don, but it'll just be another post of yours for me to disregard.
