The Don Posted April 17, 2006 Posted April 17, 2006 The trap is set and the poison is deadly. The poison is the lyrics your favorite artist scream out to the melody. I got the most guns, I sale the most dope. Homie how the fuck will those words ever give our youth hope. We know what goes on in the hood we live there to. No, we live there yall got yalls money then moved. I call artist now days blind sheep hearders. Cuz all they teach our folks is to waiste money and murder. They speak on Bling and a houses like kings. But money in the bank is worth more than all of them things. And money is power and power is position. Position is a way out of our lives being poverty stricken. Until my clock quits ticken, I only got one mission. To open up eyes and to change the words yall have out there to listen. Yeah I have sold dope, fired pistols, pimped, and banged for my race in them prisons. But im not gonna lie in my rymes and make it seem like them things are diamonds that glisten. They dont, and they wont.Never have, and they cant. I been there cuzzin and I would never go back.So why in my rymes would I glorify that. I wont cuz I want to change everything for my true love rap. Rap is a tool that can send mass messages at one stroke of a pencil ,keyboard or pen. But lately,it has been the same message only diffrent voices, areas, beats, and women and men. Who cares how many keys you have pushed, or what nigga you can shoot. My lil daughter can pull a trigger, but can you teach our people the truth? Can you tell them that them cells are cold. And that our people faught for our freedom for us to become lost souls. Mlk gave his life for what? For us to be free and then us slowly destroy us. What the fuck,to me its time for all of that to change Im a be the one to do it, and it aint for money, fame, or a big ass chain. I just want to see our people unite and have some better music to bang. Without guidence it will never change. If my favorite artist says he slang im a slang if he bang I bang. Aint nothin wrong with speakin on what you did cuz that how you became who you became. But to talk about it and teach it is why we stay in hell on Earth in the flames. You hear me people,we are brain washed by those people tellin us what there label wants us to hear. I dont know why they dont like us but its been like that since they brought us the fuck over here. I cant blame em for being scared of us look at the things we do. I would be scared to death of a race that kills each other over some streets they dont own, and the colors red and blue. Its all true what I say and if you are reading this I hope that I get through to you. So you can see why rap is a trap even if it dosent trap you. Al Green never spoke on guns, drugs, gangs and murder. Love and happiness, and good music helped us advance from segregation and make it alot further. Young jeezy said its right it is trap music. But my shit will be diffrent call it knowledge I hope that you use it. -- Lil' C Loc
jitz Posted April 17, 2006 Posted April 17, 2006 Scroll scroll scroll scroll...oh that's the whole topic. The poison is the lyrics your favorite artist scream out to the melody. Rap is based around beats not melodies, and they don't scream. That guy is doing nothing to disproved the theory that all rap artists have the intelligence of a 10 year old.
Tychoma Posted April 17, 2006 Posted April 17, 2006 I hope that was your terrible spelling and grammar Don. His message is nothing new, and it won't do anything. For every rapper out to change the world, there are 500 easily manipulated brothers writing tunes for teenagers to dance to. This doesn't make the minority's message any less important, it just ensures that it will never get to enough people. Record companies peddle mediocrity, because it sells, makes them rich, and makes the artists rich. The only people who can change this are the ones involved in a system that's paying their wages.

RingMaster2001 Posted April 17, 2006 Posted April 17, 2006 You can tell the world you never was my girl You can burn my clothes when I'm gone Or you can tell your friends just what a fool I've been And laugh and joke about me on the phone You can tell my arms to go back on the farm You can tell my feet to hit the floor Or you can tell my lilps to tell my fingertips They won't be reaching out for you no more But don't tell my heart, my achy breaky heart I just don't think it'd understand And if you tell my heart, my achy breaky heart He might blow up and kill this man Ooo You can tell your ma I moved to Arkansas Or you can tell your dog to bite my leg Or tell your brother Cliff who's fist can tell my lips He never really liked me anyway Oh tell your Aunt Louise, tell anything you please Myself already knows that I'm okay Oh you can tell my eyes to watch out for my mind It might be walking out on me today But don't tell my heart, my achy breaky heart I just don't think it'd understand And if you tell my heart, my achy breaky heart He might blow up and kill this man Ooo But don't tell my heart, my achy breaky heart I just don't think it'd understand And if you tell my heart, my achy breaky heart He might blow up and kill this man Ooo Don't tell my heart, my achy breaky heart He might blow up and kill this man Ooo Don't tell my heart, my achy breaky heart He might blow up and kill this man Ooo
Chillalex Posted April 17, 2006 Posted April 17, 2006 Why can't I breathe Still I see Dead on the table Try to move, I'm not able to They said I have died I still felt alive I won't believe their lies I can still see through these Eyes Help me I'm not dead Wake me from this hell Tell me I'm alive Dead Knives cutting into me Scalpels rip me Screaming into deaf ears Now they stop and see my tears Help me I'm not dead Wake me from this hell Tell me I'm alive Dead I can't stop the visions Stop the premonitions My soul can't escape The boundary of my flesh My heart does not beat My spirit does not rest They said I have died I still felt alive I won't believe their lies I can still see through these Eyes
