Big Bizang Posted March 6, 2006 Posted March 6, 2006 Spider-man 3 with apparently Sandman and Venom as the bad guys. About fucking time! I like Spider-man way too much I think. Quote
David Posted March 6, 2006 Posted March 6, 2006 Summer 2007 guys, only started principal photography. Quote
Big Bizang Posted March 6, 2006 Posted March 6, 2006 I should've known that. I call myself a fan... I'll be over here in the corner... Quote
RingMaster2001 Posted March 6, 2006 Posted March 6, 2006 You mean Willem Dafoe's son doesn't become the Green Goblin? Quote
Big Bizang Posted March 6, 2006 Posted March 6, 2006 He does in the comics, and then dies of a heroin overdose. They have to do something with that, even if it's just for the finale. Otherwise they wouldn't have included it in the last film. Quote
Aero Posted March 6, 2006 Posted March 6, 2006 im not so sure about venom, topher grace is playing him and he is a skinny fucker Quote
David Posted March 6, 2006 Posted March 6, 2006 Fuck. Is there any way they can, this is a bit crazy but, somehow, generate venom, using computers? Quote
Aero Posted March 6, 2006 Posted March 6, 2006 im hoping they do for when he's venom then ust have topher as him when hes brock Quote
David Posted March 6, 2006 Posted March 6, 2006 (edited) Good idea. I wonder how they'll do it? They'll probably just get Venom himself. Edited March 6, 2006 by David Quote
jitz Posted March 6, 2006 Posted March 6, 2006 Why I'm just having a strange thought where Sam Raimi (the god-like director) might be trying to go for an Eddie Brock that is comparable to Peter Parker, but then when the symbiote takes over him he turns into a big mother fucking black dude - which scares the shit out of Peter. They've laready got one built guy in the guy playing Sandman, this isn't the WWE here, not everyone has to be well oiled and toned. EDIT - Looking forward to X-Men 3 in May. Quote
Aero Posted March 6, 2006 Posted March 6, 2006 yes, but this is based on loosely on comics unlike wwe, brock was a big guy, and look at the stick darefevil got because kingpin was black and more muscle than fat, thier reason for this was that kingpin was supposed to be incredibly strong so they changed him a little from the comics to reflect this. brock always intimidated peter and weight trained and therfore needs to be a decent size, the venom suit then made him twice as big again easily. only thing is topher has been training to bulk up and as such isnt in series 8 of that 70s show because of spider-man, i havnt seen him anywhere recently but he was too skinny to get big enough imo Quote
jitz Posted March 6, 2006 Posted March 6, 2006 I could have sworn this was a comic book adaption, not a direct retelling, sorry I must've misunderstood the past 4 years of comic book movies where they change everything to make it work in a movie. Quote
David Posted March 6, 2006 Posted March 6, 2006 Yeah, I hope Raimi mixes up the entire Venom storyline. Quote
Aero Posted March 6, 2006 Posted March 6, 2006 edit- he's either bulked up or he's padded but check out this pic from the set of spiderman3 Quote
Big Bizang Posted March 7, 2006 Posted March 7, 2006 Yea I can't see that picture but I hope they haven't done anything too radical with Venom as he is easily one of the coolest comic book bad guys ever. I don't care if it looks slightly rough, I'd prefer a CGI Venom if it stayed faithful to the comics. More films should take a leaf from Sin City's book. Panel for panel. That'c cool. Let's hope they don't fuck it up like Bullseye in Daredevil. Jesus that film was shit. Also, Vinnie Jones as Juggernaut in X-3? No thank you. What were they thinking? Quote
