Aero Posted December 7, 2005 Posted December 7, 2005 For all those who saw my post about my fathers health, he passed away on sunday evening, we had to switch off the machines as he would never recover. the funeral was today and it was a perfect tribute to him. R.I.P Winston Montgomery Neill 15th August 1944 - 04 December 2005 you will be greatly missed and everything i do will come from the strength you have always given to me, with love, your youngest son, David

Tychoma Posted December 7, 2005 Posted December 7, 2005 Sorry aero, hope you and your family can get through it together in due time. I know from the same experience how important it is not to wallow in your own feelings of loss, instead to 'remember the good times'- as clich
Aero Posted December 7, 2005 Author Posted December 7, 2005 hi, thanks foe everyones support, the last few days have been tough but thanks to all the friends and family, neighbours and local shop owners, the wake, the funeral and me and my bros goin for a quiet drink last night, the pain is very minimal, dad had a good send off, we did him proud and we all feel just a little bit stronger for it. thanks again David
Nemo Posted December 7, 2005 Posted December 7, 2005 pardon the belated response - ive been avoiding/contemplating to reply to this thread since you made it. im at a loss for words here. i seriously dont know what to tell you, man. people here whine about their girlfriends and boyfriends leaving them - but you've experienced a real loss. to be honest with you, i dont think you need any condolences, or sympathy or people feeling sorry for you. you're handling the situation damn fucking good. i commend you.
Fozy Posted December 7, 2005 Posted December 7, 2005 Yeah aero, I prefer not to get involved in these situations either. Just one thing though; you're handling this fucking well, being the youngest of his sons and all, I can tell he was a well respected man, thankfully he will always be remembered that way. Condolences. Keep your chin up .
WordLifeCj Posted December 7, 2005 Posted December 7, 2005 I'm sorry about your loss. It's nice to see your still well though.
Aero Posted December 7, 2005 Author Posted December 7, 2005 sal, iain, 2 very good posts, thanks to everyone who passed on their condolences etc but u 2 guys got it bang on. i didnt post here for sympathy (tho any recieved is more than welcomed) i posted as both an update and an outlet. i was in a terrible state on sunday, monday and part of tuesday but tuesday was perfect, my dad would have loved it. i cried my ass off quite a bit, even before he passed away but i am ok now, it hurts and i wish it never happened but it did. i have 4 other brothers and they have been just as strong and we have helped each other. my 2 sisters are not doing as well and my mum is still in a bit of a state but atleast us 5 boys are their for them like dad would have been. seeing the number of people who turned up both at the wake and the funeral, the cards recieved etc and the number of people who told all of us boys how much we where like our father, who was a strong and determined man (even if that did mean he was very stubborn at times) gave us alot of strength. finally, since my father passed i have noticed something, i have his eyes, i've only noticed it, possibly just coinsidence but never the less it, to me, feels like its visual proof that my father rreally is with me. so once again, thank you everyone for your well wishing etc but thank you Sal and Iain for really getting it.
Fozy Posted December 7, 2005 Posted December 7, 2005 Wow, you really are dealing with this well. A lot of respect.
RocknSock Posted December 21, 2005 Posted December 21, 2005 Sorry to hear that your father is dead dude, and hell yeah you are handling this well. May your father rest in peace. Life goes on Aerofreak, life goes on... Spend all your time waiting for that second chance For the break that will make it all okay There's always some reason to feel not good enough And it's hard at the end of the day
