DwnWitTheSystm Posted September 7, 2003 Posted September 7, 2003 The homepage for ARMAX was sayin that this new code thing is really advanced or sumthin and that codes that worked for older systems wont work on it. I take it that means it wont run with NTSC,PAL, or CB2 codes, so is there gonna have to be a new code format or sumtin. If its gonna be such a problem with SYM codes id rather know then go blow my money on it and not be able to use the codes. Quote
deaconmicuk Posted September 7, 2003 Posted September 7, 2003 I guess its just a different encryption method. Some program will be made to convert codes between them sooner or later. Quote
Supa #2 Posted September 8, 2003 Posted September 8, 2003 How can it be advanced? i dont see wat more they can do 2 it. Quote
tokidoim Posted September 8, 2003 Posted September 8, 2003 Ahh, Supa Fly, I guess you weren't around in the days of Code Generators and Memory Editors. We busted games WTF open in those days. That's why some peeps still hack PSX and N64 instead of taking on this next gen stuff. Utilities. nosig Quote
Dacrone Posted September 8, 2003 Posted September 8, 2003 well supa fly....its more advanced cuz they use every letter of the alphabet....so thats gotta be confusing... :x Quote
Chillalex Posted September 8, 2003 Posted September 8, 2003 ..no, not more advanced.Thats just commercial bullshit.Theyve more than likely just done another encryption method, seeing as people figured out the last ones...theyre on a kick right now of not letting anyone make their own codes. Quote
deaconmicuk Posted September 9, 2003 Posted September 9, 2003 ..no, not more advanced.Thats just commercial bullshit.Theyve more than likely just done another encryption method, seeing as people figured out the last ones...theyre on a kick right now of not letting anyone make their own codes. Thats what I said Quote
Chillalex Posted September 9, 2003 Posted September 9, 2003 want a medal? your going to be right every now and again ~__~ besides, you only said it was probably another encryptoin method.i explained why (well, id assume so....why else would they swap?) :evil Quote
tokidoim Posted September 10, 2003 Posted September 10, 2003 wow... ( notice the lower-case wow ) a new user interface...still encrypted. and quick mode. and auto-identification of clashing codes. thrilling... What a load of garbage. If they made it more hacker-friendly THEN I'd get one. They could at LEAST build in a memory card editor for us to f*** with or auto-encrypt from hex. I know there's a large percentage of their consumer base that would rather make their own codes than be stuck with the limited number of codes they have online. what's the friggin' deal? nosig Quote
DwnWitTheSystm Posted September 23, 2003 Author Posted September 23, 2003 ummmm....any word on converting yet? i just bought the thing (only cuz it was $10 but...) and i cant wait ta get the smackdown codes back on there. i was thinkin tho, would it be possible that it just uses GS3 codes? just a thought. tokidoim Posted September 24, 2003 Posted September 24, 2003 If you want to post some of the preloaded codes here, we could cross-reference them with existing codes for other cheat devices to see if they match anything or follow a simple pattern ( unlike GSV3...ptui! ) nosig Quote
