koberulz Posted July 4, 2006 Posted July 4, 2006 can someone point me to (or write) a step-by-step guide on how to replace belts and loading screens? Quote
DRAVEN Posted July 4, 2006 Posted July 4, 2006 go to GGS select the belt u want to replace click on it then select save as. then open ur art program(I use paintshop pro X) open the bmp of the belt u saved... open the belt texture u want to use u need to cut the face plate of the new belt out the resize it to match the size of the old face plate then before u copy and paste the new face plate over the old one u nee to incress the colours of the old belt to max... once u have done that paste the new face over the old one blend it in then save as.... Go back to GGS open the centre.PAC file find the belt u want to replace. click on it, then in the window right click select open... then open the new belt texture drag the new belt over the old one, U will get a message say theirs no alpha select yes then u set the alpha to black the redrag it over the belt again.. ok This should help... All textures replacing in GGS is the same process.... Loading screen's are kepted in the PAC folder on the game disc... I think it MISC.PAC just search them.. Match size and colour bit.... Quote
koberulz Posted July 5, 2006 Author Posted July 5, 2006 i cant open shit. it pops up with some error. access violation or somewhat. Quote
DRAVEN Posted July 5, 2006 Posted July 5, 2006 (edited) Loading screens are in the MISC.PAC file.... Edited July 5, 2006 by DRAVEN Quote
koberulz Posted July 6, 2006 Author Posted July 6, 2006 i can open the .pac file, but when i search for graphics files, it saays there are too many to display at once. i hit OK a couple of times, and then it says there was an access violation, followed by a long string of numbers. Quote
koberulz Posted July 6, 2006 Author Posted July 6, 2006 (edited) it would appear it doesn't though. EDIT: it would appear it does if i choose not to have artificial folders EDIT 2: is it possible to edit actual WWE belts this way, or only CAB ones? Edited July 6, 2006 by koberulz Quote
koberulz Posted July 6, 2006 Author Posted July 6, 2006 (edited) EDIT 3: how are you supposed to work out how much to squash the loading screens? EDIT 4: Meant to edit rather than double post. Edited July 6, 2006 by koberulz Quote
DRAVEN Posted July 6, 2006 Posted July 6, 2006 U can only edit CAB parts, Extract a loading screen then match the size and color depth Quote
koberulz Posted July 6, 2006 Author Posted July 6, 2006 Extract a loading screen then match the size and color depth huh? Quote
DRAVEN Posted July 6, 2006 Posted July 6, 2006 In GGS open a loading screen then save as... open in ur texture editor... Quote
koberulz Posted July 7, 2006 Author Posted July 7, 2006 yeah, im following that much....but when i open the bmp in photoshop, it is squashed. it is thinner than it actually displays on screen. how do i know how much to squash my new load screen by to have it display properly in the game? what do you mean by match size and color depth? Quote
theundertaker Posted July 7, 2006 Posted July 7, 2006 make the picture ur replacing the one in the game for, the same size and color (settings) as the original wallpaper or w/e u wanna call it Quote
DRAVEN Posted July 7, 2006 Posted July 7, 2006 @koberulz take a screen shot for me to see pls @taker yep.. Quote
DRAVEN Posted July 7, 2006 Posted July 7, 2006 Yes thats right just match it... it works... Iampayne's has done loads of them Quote
koberulz Posted July 7, 2006 Author Posted July 7, 2006 so if i add an undistorted image over that it will work fine in the game too? or what? Quote
koberulz Posted July 9, 2006 Author Posted July 9, 2006 so you're not sure? would i be better off PMing iampayne? Quote
DRAVEN Posted July 9, 2006 Posted July 9, 2006 No it should work see editing is trial and error... see how long it took u to do the music.... I did it first time.... I replaced the copyright part at the start of the game with a tribute to Eddie G... and thats all I did, match pic size and colour depth.. DONE! Just remember to set the alpha in GGS Quote
koberulz Posted July 9, 2006 Author Posted July 9, 2006 the only reason it took me so long to do the music is that i was missing half the programs mentioned in the walkthrough.... thing is, i don't really want to have to burn the game more than once. money doesnt grow on trees. Quote
DRAVEN Posted July 9, 2006 Posted July 9, 2006 (edited) LoL benifit of a harddrive... No burning.... Thats the way u do it if it's the wrong size the GGS wont accept it... they will work as long as U set the alpha... Edited July 9, 2006 by DRAVEN Quote
xXCharasmatic_EnigmaXx Posted August 16, 2006 Posted August 16, 2006 stupid question... what does GGS mean? Quote
