ChangeLog 0.0.4

It's a hack for now, but files with an unrecognized header will attempt to open as a texture archive.

Loose/Extracted PACH files can now be opened as well.

Are you making this on windows 7?

I try loading it up with windows 10 and the program won't launch. Compatablity mode for windows 8 and 7 don't work opening it either.

For the 0.0.4 release.

I'll try the 0.0.3

EDIT: Same result.

I get this when launching it normally:

Are you just double clicking on it or are you dragging a file to it?

Ya, I'm adding a file|open menu right now.

Then I'll work on getting proper extract options in. (Extract All|Save as|etc etc) To proper sub directories.

Then I'll get drag and drop working.

And then I'll work on getting import working.

Import will be REALLY hit and miss since there's still a lot that I don't know about the file formats.

When I run the application it wont load. What should I do?

Same for me. I get the "do you want to close the program thing"

Just double clicking on it? That won't work. You have to drag the file onto the exe, or use the command line.

I'll put up a version that has a file|open menu tomorrow maybe. I'm trying to clean up some of the code first.

Quick question to the community. I tried out decompressing the compressed data on the initial load so that it could be added to the treeview (some of those BPE/ZLIB files contain more pacs). It causes that intial load time to get pretty high on some of the bigger files though. So, leave it in or out?

I'm also still working on cleanly identifying the dds texture archives without having to explicity tell the program 'Hey, open these as texture archives'. Luckily the filename and extension offsets are byte aligned, So I know exactly where to look to see if it's a texture archive. Just a matter of writing it up.

No keep'em all in. Load times, just like playing games. Texture archieve are a little mess , so leave them all if they open correctly

ChangeLog 0.0.5

File Open menu for those people that like to just double click on an app and expect it to work

Decompress files on load (there were pachs inside of compressed pachs)

Embedded Texture Archive (and loose...) are now loaded into tree view.

Right Click on tree node to extract all (with sub directory hierarchy)

Edit:

Yes load times will be longer (mem usage is higher too since it's opening files as uncompressed).

I'll start working on import soonish.

Community: [hears knock at door] Who is it?

Keshire: [Keshire comes in] It's me, Com. I got the stuff.

Community: Leave it on the doorstep and get the hell outta here.

Keshire: All right, Com, but what about my money?

Community: What money?

Keshire: The rest of the community said you had some dough for me.

Community: That a fact? How much do I owe ya?

Keshire: They said 10%.

Community: [smirks] Too bad they ain't in charge no more.

Community: Hey, I tell ya what I'm gonna give *you*, Kesh.

[pulls out machine gun]

Community: I'm gonna give you to the count of 10, to get your ugly, yella, no-good keister off my property,

[shouts]

Community: before I pump your guts full of lead!

Keshire: [wide eyed and calm] All right, Com, I'm sorry. I'm goin'!

Community: 1... 2... 10!

[starts unloading bullets into Kesh while laughing maniacally]

Community: Keep the change, ya filthy animal!

On another note. Can someone check if the DX10 textures are extracting correctly, I have no way of opening them yet. and the goofy things have the filename in a separate file from the dds.

Great progress man. Do you have any info on yobj files? Edited by kaijones
