Righteous Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 (edited) These are the settings I use. Alot of trial and error has gone into these. I have had some incredible matches. There are still a good bit of reversals, but it's not a reversalfest and they feel more realistic. You may think they look a bit low at 1st glance, but trust me, they are good. Feel free to try them and tweak them to your liking and post that here as well. LEGEND sliders can be used on HARD as well. Just add 1 or 2 clicks to the AI grapple and strike reversals. Difficulty --- Hard --- LEGEND A.I. Reversals -- Standing Strike Reversal --- 4 --- 13 Standing Grapple Reversal --- 5 --- 11 Ground Strike Reversal --- 3 --- 5 Ground Grapple Reversal --- 4 --- 3 Finisher Reversal --- 9 --- 6 Foreign Object Reversal --- 7 --- 2 Damage --- Finisher Strength --- 15 --- 13 Foreign Object Strength --- 10 --- MAX General --- Standing Strike Reversal --- 8 --- 5 Standing Grapple Reversal --- 7 --- 3 Ground Strike Reversal --- 6 --- 2 Ground Grapple Reversal --- 8 --- 1 Finisher Reversal --- 9 --- 6 Foreign Object Reversal --- 7 --- 2 Momentum Gained From Attacks --- 7 --- 5 Momentum Gained From Taunts --- 12 --- 10 Adrenaline Consumption Rate --- 9 --- 10 Edited December 24, 2013 by Righteous 1 Quote
TheHippopotomus Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 I know you like the same style matches in real life as me so I am going to have to try these out! Quote
NWOldskool Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 I will be trying these tomorrow! Thanks for posting them, buddy. Quote
Gameinator Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 This is a pretty awesome setup you have, only thing I didn't like was the foreign object reversal rate considering how rarely weapons get reversed in reality. Quote
Righteous Posted November 23, 2013 Author Posted November 23, 2013 This is a pretty awesome setup you have, only thing I didn't like was the foreign object reversal rate considering how rarely weapons get reversed in reality. In game they dont get reversed much. The numbers do seem kind of high. But it translates quite well. Quote
Ricsplode Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 Hey Hippo and Righteous, just wanted to ask what type of matches Hippo meant in the earlier post? I always use your movesets btw Righteous so big thanks for those! Quote

delete Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 Cheers Righteous, I'll be trying these out later Quote
rekimk Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 These look interesting Righteous I may try some of them out But i'm still gonna keep the difficulty on legend and A.I. reversals to the max. Quote
Righteous Posted November 23, 2013 Author Posted November 23, 2013 (edited) These look interesting Righteous I may try some of them out But i'm still gonna keep the difficulty on legend and A.I. reversals to the max. You dont even have 2 put them on Max once you go LEGEND. Reversalfests are automatic! LOL. I honestly dont see how that's enjoyable. I like reversals, but in the proper capacity and at good times. Reversal after reversal just for the sake of reversals is in no way more difficult IMO. But, there seems 2 be a few people that enjoy those kinds of matches. The 4th Doctor Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 I put the setting that Righteous did and I find that reversals are a bit easier to hit now compared to the default settings. Quote
rekimk Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 I think it's just been a habit of mines to play in the hardest difficulty possible ever since HCTP, I find it really enjoyable and great for epic matches but you do have a point about the reversalfest but that just goes on for the begining of the match, But after wearing out the a.i depending the difficulty the a.i just stops reversing. The a.i still keeps reversing at it's most critical moments with the bars at max, giving the chances for a more epic match. I been trying to figure out how to replicate legend difficulty for the 30 years of wrestlemania mode because I know for sure that it's not legend most of the time the reversal gap is so slim at just times near impossible to reverse especially that match with john cena vs shawn michaels. Quote
Custom-R Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 Interesting set up. Normally, the only things I set to max are finishers. Then I bring up objects to about 10, and then I basically leave everything alone. I also play on Legend. Hard is too Easy! Quote
kushdragon420 Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 i pretty much have these setting except i play on legend with lower reversal rates for standing grapples/strikes legend adds enough ai reversals then i maxed out objects and finishers, also i put the ground reversal to between 2-4 b/c honestly nobody reverses a stomp to the head. these give the best matches especially on epic you can wear down an opponent on the ground with minor attacks without constantly getting reversed and its even. Seems like the match goes back and forth once you get that well times reversal. P.S. not to sound like a noob if everybody uses this but if you turn off the reversal indicators its hard at first but it makes you alot better b/c you start to notice when to reverse for different types of grapples and strikes Quote
Righteous Posted November 23, 2013 Author Posted November 23, 2013 ^^ I turned the indicators off too. It was DEF hard at 1st! LOL. 1 of the most noticeable things this year is that the transition from grapple to move is slower than last year, so that really changes the reversal timing. On 13 I could pretty much hit reversals with my eyes closed. I like it the way they did it this year tho. Quote
kushdragon420 Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 the indicators being turned off is money but sometimes i get all kayfabe with it and let the computer get it in then ill mount a crowd roaring comeback lol. the thing with the reversals is on a chain grapple they do one of the direction specific animations well if you wait they do a 2nd movement its just a small wiggle you have to watch closely but if you reverse at that moment it will always reverse them. haha it helps online but it kinda messed up my offline play too many stupid 100 overall poorly made caws online anyway Quote
Zenith Posted November 24, 2013 Posted November 24, 2013 I usually play on Legend too but in this game, AI is totally insane! I did try to tweak the options a bit to make it more enjoyable but i'll definitely try your settings tomorrow. I love the fluidity but i kinda miss how more realistic the match pace was in 13. Quote
Alex™ Posted November 24, 2013 Posted November 24, 2013 (edited) Seems too easy for me playing on hard even turning off the indicator (Which i already did before this slider) Edited November 24, 2013 by Alex™ Quote
The 4th Doctor Posted November 24, 2013 Posted November 24, 2013 Legend difficulty is not fun its just Reversalmania no matter what and the AI barley gives you any chance to attack and that is not fun at all. Quote
Zenith Posted November 24, 2013 Posted November 24, 2013 (Love the Doctor pic btw) I'd say the AI,in it's core, is good but they totally screwed the balance system. I like the Ai to be able to give me a respectable amount of competition based on the type of match i play (quick, normal, epic) but on Legend, it's always what you guys call Reversefest. We CAN enjoy playing matches without nonstop reversals. Just let the AI hit a couple of moves from time to time and usualy you get a good, realistic match. On the other hand, i'm glad they did fix that huge problem where the computer goes out of the ring and tear the announcers table appart almost every match Quote

I did a few quick matches just to see if they could actually be back and forth quick matches and sure enough, Ryback/Cena was definitely back and forth! kidsampson Posted November 24, 2013 Posted November 24, 2013 Seems too easy for me playing on hard even turning off the indicator (Which i already did before this slider) Same for me. I spend most of my time playing singles matches in Universe though, and find it easy to dominate the cpu with these. During the singles matches I tested, the cpu didn't mount much offense and rarely reversed attacks. The matches also ended quickly. I'm not sure if this is the case in multi-man matches, as I haven't tested. Finding sliders that work for all match types are difficult, so I focus on the singles matchups. I've had the most luck beginning with the default legend setting and adjusting accordingly from there to balance reversals. To mirror WWE programming I virtually remove ground grapple reversals, which helps the cpu build momentum and do more damage. Besides, how often do you see wrestlers reverse stomps or ground attacks on TV? Once grounded, you should expect to take some damage. I feel like that single adjustment helps balance things a lot. The 4th Doctor Posted November 28, 2013 Posted November 28, 2013 (edited) I found these sliders way to easy and the AI barley did any offense. so I kept the second half of your settings but defaulted the AI Reversals put the game on legend and I got the perfect balance. Legend isn't that bad now that i got used to the reversals Edited November 28, 2013 by The 4th Doctor Quote
Righteous Posted November 28, 2013 Author Posted November 28, 2013 I got some updated settings 2 post. Forgot 2 post them b4 I left. Will do when I get back home. These work great on LEGEND. Quote
kidsampson Posted November 29, 2013 Posted November 29, 2013 Cool. Looking forward to giving them a go. And I generally get better results on Legend too, so I'm glad yours will work with that setting in mind. Quote
