System of a Daan Posted August 12, 2009 Posted August 12, 2009 (edited) So I'm watching the game right now, and I'm impressed how we managed to get 2-0 in front. Impressed by your sucky defence that is. What's wrong with your defenders? They manage to loose the ball a couple of times in real dangerous situations. I thought these guys were pro's?? Anyway, I'm enjoying the match and I think England will manage to score in the second half. Edited August 12, 2009 by System of a Daan Quote
Aero Posted August 12, 2009 Posted August 12, 2009 its a friendly 3 days before the start of the premiership, thats retarded! in answer to ur question about englands defence, their best defender retired from international duty in jamie carragher, also, england are generally pretty shit, good players who dont gel well together. System of a Daan Posted August 12, 2009 Author Posted August 12, 2009 2-2 final fixture. Was a fun lil game. England showed some good offensive skill in the second half. Two good goals for Defoe, who is in my opinion together with Rooney the best English strike. BTW How many Cole's does England have? Makes for some great commentating: Cole passes to Cole, cross to Cole!! GOAL! lol Quote
Smacktalks Posted August 12, 2009 Posted August 12, 2009 Carra who? England always make stupid mistakes at the back, thing is it's usually the keeper making the mistakes. I was impressed by Beckham in the first half, definitley one of the better players. As for the second half, it was much better from England, Defoe and Cole up front worked well and Milner did really well on the left to come inside and put some crosses in. Overall I'd say England were the better team JUST, but it doesn't really prove anything, as both sets of players are still in pre-season and dont have full fitness yet. Quote
Aero Posted August 12, 2009 Posted August 12, 2009 dont have full fitness yet? 3 days before the prem starts... fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuckk!!!! lmao Quote
Smacktalks Posted August 12, 2009 Posted August 12, 2009 Players never have full fitness until a few weeks into the season, a few friendly matches dont exactly have you working your ass off. Quote
System of a Daan Posted August 12, 2009 Author Posted August 12, 2009 Well nowadays they have to play way to many matches anyway. I mean the Dutch season started two weeks ago. Qualifications, European cups, friendlies and the normal season? I think they only have about 3 weeks vacation. Oh well, they earn millions so it's they should play alot. Quote
Aero Posted August 13, 2009 Posted August 13, 2009 i still dont agree with being pulled away from ur club team a few days before a season kicks off Quote
RingMaster2001 Posted August 17, 2009 Posted August 17, 2009 I too enjoyed watching West Ham v the Netherlands. Quote
Smacktalks Posted August 17, 2009 Posted August 17, 2009 They mentioned the West Ham system every 5 mins, great to see that your still continuing to bring through top class players. I've though Mark Noble has been great the last few seasons and he scored a cracking goal over the weekend. Quote
RingMaster2001 Posted August 17, 2009 Posted August 17, 2009 Noble is a good player, I thought last season was a bit mediocre for him, seeing as he has improved every season I've seen him and he is still quite young, but if this weekend was anything to go by, this could be another great season for him.
