In its quarterly earnings call with stock holders on Wednesday morning, THQ, developers of World Wrestling Entertainment's video games, announced that they are developing a new game called WWE Online. At this point, not much else is known about the title aside from the fact that it's being developed in Asia. WWE's video games are one of THQ's main profit centers, although sales of this year's SmackDown vs. RAW were down 25% from the 2008 edition.

This was first brought up back in September when the game was first announced as a PC title. Here's what was announced back in September.

"It was announced today by publisher THQ and Jakks Pacific that WWE SmackDown vs. Raw will make its PC debut with an online-focused title. Though the companies declined to provide any concrete details on the PC game, Jakks Pacific's Interactive SVP Nelo Lucich hinted that users will be able to "become their favorite superstar in a WWE virtual world of their own creation."
