I have a code converter, but I forgot where I downloaded it. So I have uploaded it to my site. Hope it helps people converting some codes without going to the converting site.

http://mysite.verizon.net/res1uh9i/code_converter.zip

Edit: Ok, I found the site where I found it.

How does the code converter work? I dont seem to get an output!!

Where it says 'source' click on the arrow and select the code format you want to convert. Then where it says 'result' click on the arrow and select the code format that you want. Click on the '->' button and you will see codes pop out.

So if the source was Codebreaker and the result is GS V3, pressing the '->' button will produce a converted codebreaker code in the gameshark v3 format.

Use the Hellion00 converter link at the top then. It's reeeaaallly simple to use. Here's a walkthrough:

A Simple Code Converting Walkthrough for HCTP

Before beginning the walkthrough, there are a few things a converter should always know. I apologize if you might already know this ... however, it should be understood that Action Replay 2 (NTSC) & GameShark 2 (NTSC) use the same codes, as do Action Replay 2 (PAL) & GameShark 2 (PAL). An Action Replay 2 is nothing more than an updated GameShark 2, & Action Replay 2 & GameShark 2 are owned by the same company. Also, it is best to know that CodeBreaker 2 is a NTSC product only - meaning that it is sold in North America only. Xploder, on the other hand, is a PAL product only - meaning that it is sold in Europe & Australia only. Basically, CodeBreaker 2 is the NTSC version of Xploder, &, in return, Xploder is the PAL version of CodeBreaker 2. To put it another way, CodeBreaker 2 could also be called an Xploder (NTSC), & an Xploder could also be called a CodeBreaker 2 (PAL). As are the Action Replay 2 & GameShark 2, CodeBreaker 2 & Xploder are owned by the same company. With that said, let's begin with the walkthrough.

Converting a NTSC Code into a NTSC Code

Step 1: To begin, go to the Offical Code Converter Site

Step 2: Once there, near the middle of the page, there is a box described as "AR2 Encryption" with the encryptions values: 1456E7A5, BCA99B83, F8FCFEFE & Custom. Select "BCA99B83."

Step 3: Now, near the top, there are a selection of cheat-devices - AR2 (and GS2v2 or earlier), CB2 & GSv3 - & Hex. Select "AR2 (and GS2v2 or earlier)," for you will be using an AR2/GS2v2 (NTSC) code with which to begin. (If you were going to convert a CB2 or a GS2v3 code, you would instead have selected "CB2" for a CB2 code or "GSv3" for a GS2v3 code with which to begin the converting process.)

Step 4: In "Code," enter the AR2/GS2v2 (NTSC) code, FEB3925E BCA99B83.

Step 5: Finally, to convert FEB3925E BCA99B83 (AR2/GS2v2 [NTSC]) to CB2, select "CB2." Too, to convert FEB3925E BCA99B83 (AR2/GS2v2 [NTSC]) to GS2v3, select "GSv3." If done correctly, the CB2 code should be 0A835D61 00000000, & the GS2v3 code should be 04D03568 3470C308.

This is simple code converting. As was said before in Step 3, if you were using a CB2 or a GS2v3 code to convert to AR2/GS2v2 (NTSC), you would have begun by selecting "CB2" for a CB2 code or "GSv3" for a GS2v3 code. The same applies to converting PAL code into PAL code. Let's also walkthrough this process, even though there is no real difference as the above steps.

Converting a PAL Code into a PAL Code

Step 1: Again, be sure to be at the Offical Code Converter Site

Step 2: In it, near the middle of the page, there is a box described as "AR2 Encryption" with the encryptions values: 1456E7A5, BCA99B83, F8FCFEFE & Custom. Select "BCA99B83."

Step 3: Now, near the top, there are a selection of cheat-devices - AR2 (and GS2v2 or earlier), CB2 & GSv3 - & Hex. Select "AR2 (and GS2v2 or earlier)," for you will be using an AR2/GS2v2 (PAL) code with which to begin. (If you were going to convert an Xploder or GS2v3 [PAL] code, you would instead have selected "CB2" for an Xploder code or "GSv3" for a GS2v3 [PAL] code with which to begin the converting process.)

Step 4: In "Code," enter the AR2/GS2v2 (PAL) code, FEB39D5E BCA99B83.

Step 5: Finally, to convert FEB39D5E BCA99B83 (AR2/GS2v2 [PAL]) to Xploder, select "CB2." Too, to convert FEB39D5E BCA99B83 (AR2/GS2v2 [PAL]) to GS2v3 (PAL), select "GSv3." If done correctly, the Xploder code should be 0A835D6C 00000000, & the GS2v3 code should be 04903568 3470C108.

Easy, wasn't it. As was said before in Step 3, if you were using an Xploder or a GS2v3 (PAL) code to convert to AR2/GS2v2 (PAL), you would have begun by selecting "CB2" for an Xploder code or "GSv3" for a GS2v3 (PAL) code. Now for converting NTSC code into PAL code.

Converting a NTSC Code into a PAL Code

Step 1: Go to the Offical Code Converter Site

Step 2: Near the middle of the page, there is a box described as "AR2 Encryption" with the encryptions values: 1456E7A5, BCA99B83, F8FCFEFE & Custom.

(If you were going to convert a CB2 or GS2v3 code, you would instead have selected "CB2" for a CB2 code or "GSv3" for a GS2v3 code with which to begin the converting process.)

Step 4: In "Code," enter the AR2/GS2v2 (NTSC) code, FEB3925E BCA99B83.

Step 5: Next, from the selection of cheat-devices - AR2 (and GS2v2 or earlier), CB2 & GSv3 - & Hex, select "Hex." (The code should now be 004B6460 00000000.)

Step 6: Thereafter, in the box below "Code" that is described as "Hex Offset, clear any data that might be present in it, such as 00000000 00000000, & enter 00000300.

Step 7: With 00000300 entered, click on the button below "Hex Offset" that is described as "Sub Offset." (Once done, the code should now be 004B6160 00000000.)

Step 8: Finally, to convert 004B6160 00000000 (Hex) to AR2/GS2v2 (PAL), select "AR2 (and GS2v2 or earlier)." Too, to convert 004B6160 00000000 (Hex) to Xploder, select "CB2." If done correctly, the AR2/GS2v2 (PAL) code should be FEB39D5E BCA99B83; 0A835D6C 00000000 should be the Xploder code; & 04903568 3470C108 should be the GS2v3 (PAL) code.

This is basically how most all NTSC codes are converted to PAL for HCTP, simply subtracting 00000300 from a NTSC code when in Hex, then converted to "AR2 (and GS2v2 or earlier)" for an AR2/GS2v2 (PAL) code, "CB2" for an Xploder code or "GSv3" for a GS2v3 (PAL) code. The same process is used when converting a PAL code into a NTSC code. The only difference is that the 00000300 is added to a PAL code when in Hex, then converted to "AR2 (and GS2v2 or earlier)" for an AR2/GS2v2 (NTSC) code, "CB2" for a CB2 code or "GSv3" for a GS2v3 code. As was said before, converting PAL codes into NTSC codes is the same as converting NTSC codes into PAL codes, except for the addition (rather than subtraction) of the hex offset, 00000300. To finish, let's walkthrough converting a PAL code to a NTSC code.

Converting a PAL Code into a NTSC Code

Step 1: Go to the Offical Code Converter Site

Step 2: Near the middle of the page, there is a box described as "AR2 Encryption" with the encryptions values: 1456E7A5, BCA99B83, F8FCFEFE & Custom. Select "BCA99B83."

Step 7: With 00000300 entered, click on the button below "Hex Offset" that is described as "Add Offset." (Once done, the code should now be 004B6460 00000000.)

Step 8: Finally, to convert 004B6460 00000000 (Hex) to AR2/GS2v2 (NTSC), select "AR2 (and GS2v2 or earlier)." Too, to convert 004B6460 00000000 (Hex) to CB2, select "CB2," & select "GSv3" to convert 004B6460 00000000 (Hex) to GS2v3. If done correctly, the AR2/GS2v2 (NTSC) code should be FEB3925E BCA99B83; 0A835D61 00000000 should be the CB2 code; & 04D03568 3470C308 should be the GS2v3 code.

Too, as was said before, converting NTSC codes into PAL codes is the same as converting PAL codes into NTSC codes, except for the subtraction (rather than addition) of the hex offset, 00000300.

That's it. If you can learn this, then you have learned the basics to code converting.

If i use the converter program and convert 2.2 cheats to 2.3, will they work with me 2.4?

...

Again, GameShark 2 version 4 -->USES<-- GameShark 2 version 3 codes; their codes are the same.

and does Codebreaker 2 use the same codes as codebreaker 1? ( so for the conversion program could I convert Codebreaker v.2 codes using the codebreaker menu?)

The Hellion00 converter site will convert any CodeBreaker 2 codes to work with a CodeBreaker 2 versions 1 - 7.1.

hey zxero.

type the code in either format using. ie GS 2.3 or CB 2 and click to convert on the format you want. BUT BE SURE TO PUT IN bca99b83 in your conversion. otherwise the code WILL NOT, I REPEAT WILL NOT,work

you can convert gs 2.3 or 4 codes to cb2 and cb2 codes to gs 2.3 or 4 codes using that tactic

if you want to convert hex code into gs format just input the code under hex, USING bca99b83 with using the hex code and convert to gs 2.3. i would reccomend getting a cb2 i you can find one. gs has some glitches in it that really suck

Can I please get this converted to codebreaker

Special Referee P1, and Ladders?

This is basically Trigins Special Referee code changed for Player 1 to the special referee, and Roddy, Animal and Hawk as the removers. The add-on should in theory allow Austin to get the ladders and then allow gameplay to resume, with him as the special referee. (if nothing else the Special Referee for player 1 will work)

At the moment it is only in PAL, but I will convert if it works fine. Read the rules to follow first.

-With this Single Special Referee code, you can use anyone as the Special Referee.

-To use this code correctly, play it in a Normal 6-Man Tag, Tornado 6-Man Tag, 6-Man Battle Royal, Elimination Tag or Armageddon HIAC; the special referee is always determined by whomever is selected as the

Could someone tell me something about converting? When you are using the converter and you choose 1456E7A5, BCA99B83 or F8FCFEFE , how do you know what ones to use and when?

Those are the different encryption types. Each game will use one of those. I haven't hacked any PS2 games besides the SD! series, so I couldn't tell you which encryption to use for other games, but if you look at most of the SD codes you put in your GS2v1/2 or AR, you'll see almost all of the values ( last 8 digits of the code ) start with BCA9, so if you look GS2v1/2 or AR codes for other games, you'll probably find a lot of values beginning with 1456 or F8FC, in which case you'd use the 1456E7A5 or F8FCFEFE encryption.
