He does believe he's the best wrestler and a gift from God and The Pope will learn that too. Flair shows the scars on his forehead which are deep and bloody. He says Abyss is a dead man and they'll get Jeff Hardy too. Flair's forehead is bleeding and covered half his face. Jeff Hardy comes out. AJ asks Hardy who he thinks he is. AJ says Hardy has done nothing here and proved nothing. AJ asks him if he wants the spotlight and it doesn't get any bigger than on Styles and Flair.

AJ asks why don't they get it done right here, right now. Hardy says it will be a breeze. Flair sayas a breeze is painting pictures backstage and getting high. Hardy says something about the drifters of the night, crowd pops, his music plays, lights go out, everybody leaves.

Backstage, Bischoff is mad at Foley for helping Jarrett. Foley apologizes and Bischoff says there's no saving Foley. Bischoff says he's bringing Foley to the ring to shave his beard, cut his hair and make him the executive he should be.

Brooke Hogan just came out and sat down ringside.

Backstage, The Nasty Boys beat up Jesse Neal at catering and powerbombed him through a table. It was supposed to be Team 3D and Jesse Neal vs. the Nasty Boys and Jimmy Hart but now it's a handicap match because of what happened to Neal. Team 3D says it's not a handicap match because they have a partner. Out comes Spike Dudley to make it a 6 man match. Jimmy Hart gets the pin on Bubba after Knobs hit him with Jimmy's motorcycle helmet. Nastys set up a table to put Bubba through it but Jesse Neal runs out for the save. Saggs ends up getting 3Ded through the table.

Backstage Christy asks Angelina how she feels that the Beautiful People won the tag belts. She says it sucks and makes her mad. When she gets mad she does something about it and issues an open challenge to any of the Beautiful People, especially Velvet.

JB backstage with Scott Hall and Syxx-Pac. Syxx-Pac says they've been kicked out of better places than this. Hall says at Destination X Nash is getting what's coming to them and then Monday they'll see the new big money players. Nash and Young walk up and Nash offers Hall a big wad of cash for five minutes with him tonight. Hall accepts and that match happens later.

Mr. Anderson & Desmond Wolfe with Chelsea vs. Kurt Angle & "The Pope" D'Angelo Dinero
Pope and Angle win after Pope got a small package on Wolfe. Afterwards Anderson gives Angle a Mic Check and then uses the dog tags on Angle's head and busts him open. Anderson says this is just a preview of what he's going to do to him on Sunday. He beats Angle down some more.

Backstage, there was a Beautiful Segment but it was inaudible to the live crowd.

Hardy and RVD are in Hogan's office but it was also inaudible to the live crowd. Abyss is a special enforcer in one of their matches. Bischoff comes in after they leave and asks if they're cool. Hogan says yeah but he has to keep some things secret like Bischoff kept the Foley ref thing a secret. Bischoff leaves and Hogan says that was weird.

Hulk Hogan is out. He says what happened last week was more than a trainwreck. The one thing he can't forget or let go of is when Abyss said "Why Sting, why?" Hogan calls Sting out and asks if the spotlight wasn't enough or his star wasn't big enough. Sting is seen walking in the rafters. He passes over the ring area and makes his way to ringside. RVD attacks Sting and they brawl as Hogan watches on. RVD tosses Hogan a bat and then throws Sting in. Before Hogan can use it, Bischoff runs down with security and says Hogan has to leave that side of him behind. He has security escort Sting safely away. Bischoff says he promised his daughter last week he was done with this type of thing. Brooke is ringside acting shocked and shaking her head at her dad. Hogan goes to ringside where Brooke is and they embrace. Hogan then leaves.

Hernandez and Jeff Jarrett are talking about getting it done tonight. Bischoff says no way this happens. He says Hernandez gets a handicap match against Beer Money. Bischoff says since Jarrett wants in so bad that he can be the referee in the match.

Hernandez vs. Beer Money, Inc. with Jeff Jarrett as special guest referee
Matt Morgan was going to go to the ring but joins Mike Tenay and Taz on commentary instead. Winner via Keg Stand, Beer Money Inc. After the match, Beer Money continue to beat down Hernandez. A barber chair is being set up in the ring. Bischoff is out. He says Jarrett's ass is his next week. Right now he has a certain look for the company and for weeks he's been trying to help Foley. He calls Foley out so he can take matters into his own hands and clean Foley up once and for all. Foley is out and takes a seat in the barber chair. Foley stips Bischoff from shaving him and instead gives him Mr. Socko. He then uses the clippers to shave Bischoff's head.

They're setting up for an Ultimate X Match but Tim is unsure if they're doing one tonight. Dave Penzer just called the pay-per-view Degeneration X rather than Destination X.

Christy Hemme backstage with Shannon Moore. He says he's not worried because he's been studying the book of Demigoth (who knows what he actually said) and that he's going to beat Williams for all his freaks.

The Motor City Machine Guns are out. Chris Sabin says this Sunday at Destination X it will be a night to remember. Not only is it the return of Ultimate X, not only do the winners become #1 contenders but it will mark the rise of the Machine Guns. Sabin questions who Generation Me think they are to come into their company. Who have they ever beaten? Generation Me come out and say they have beaten the Guns when they first came in. Shelley says Generation Me is good but not great while MCMG are great. Generation Me are the Atari to the MCMG's Xbox. Shelley says enough about that, let's talk about the night we spent with your girlfriends.

A fight breaks out. Kendrick, Daniels, Amazing Red and Kazarian all run out to fight. A ladder is used during it. Amazing Red does a plancha off the top of the ladder onto the Motor City Machine Guns, Daniels and Kendrick. The segment ends with Kazarian on top of the ladder and Generation Me and Red posing around it.

Jeremy Borash is backstage with the special enforcer for the main event, Abyss. He says ever since Hogan gave him his ring, AJ and Flair have been trying to take it from him. He says at Destionation X he's going to take the title from AJ and smack around Flair if he gets involved. He then asks WHATCHA GONNA DO FLAIR AND AJ WHEN ABYSS GOES CRAZY ON YOU!

Jeff Hardy vs. AJ Styles w/Ric Flair and Abyss as the special enforcer
AJ hit a slop drop that hit the referee too. AJ went to grab a chair but Abyss stopped him. AJ went for a springboard 450 and missed. Hardy hit a Swanton Bomb and Abyss slid in to count three. Flair hit Hardy and Abyss with a chair after and kept hitting him up the ramp until Abyss "hulked" up and chokeslammed him through the ramp! Abyss poses over the hold Flair went through and points at AJ who is cowering in the ring with his belt.

TNA officials seem to be confident Jeff Hardy will be found "not guilty" on felony drug charges later this month as they have signed him to a contract. Hardy worked the January 4th Impact on a per-show deal but worked this week's TVs under a contract.

Hardy was telling people how happy he was to be in TNA last night and his significant other Beth Britt has formed a good friendship with TNA president Dixie Carter.

Furthermore Hardy is happy to be working with his good friend Shannon Moore (who signed a contract earlier this month with TNA as well). The feeling is Shane Helms will join them in TNA once his 90-day non compete clause expires from his WWE contract.

Hardy will stand trial on drug charges in his home state of North Carolina next week, March 17, 2010.

Last night's edition of WWE NXT took place live from the Key Arena in Seattle, Washington. Below are the full results:

Opening segment:

The show opens with a recap of last week including the tag match between Justin Gabriel & Matt Hardy and Skip Sheffield & William Regal, the beatdown Wade Barrett gave Daniel Bryan and the rematch between Darren Young and David Otunga. Cue the WWE NXT opening. Eight rookies - one dream.

The pyros go off and we're live from the Key Arena in Seattle, Washington.

Tag Team Match
R-Truth & David Otunga vs. The Miz & Daniel Bryan

Pre-match:

R-Truth's music hits and he raps his way out to ringside with his rookie, David Otunga, following behind him. They cut to the announce table where Michael Cole and Josh Mathews say the competition is wide open. They send it over to Matt Striker backstage. Striker welcomes the audience to Week 3 of WWE NXT, saying the rookies are vying for votes from pros but pros cannot vote for their own rookies. Striker says while some may be future superstars in WWE, others sadly may never be heard from again.

R-Truth grabs the mic and asks Seattle, Washington WHATS UP? The Miz's music hits and he comes out with the US Championship belt and the Unified WWE Tag Team Championship belt with his rookie - Daniel Bryan. The Miz gets on the mic and tells Daniel he has a little "pep talk" for him. He says right now on NXT he is 0-2 and he hasn't proved anything to anyone. The Miz says as you saw last night on WWE Raw last night - he was jumped. He tells Daniel if he is the weak link in this match, he'll personally make sure he never achieves his goal of becoming a WWE Superstar and he'll have him thrown off of NXT. Get it? Got it? Good.

The start:

The bell rings and we're underway with R-Truth and Daniel Bryan starting things out. Bryan tries to shake R-Truth's hand but it doesn't happen. They lockup and go for the opening control. Truth applies a headlock on Daniel and goes off the ropes with a shoulder block. He connects on a clothesline and a quick one count.

Mid-match notes:

R-Truth tags in Otunga and they hit a double shoulder block on Bryan. Otunga gets a quick cover. Otunga makes another tag and R-Truth works on Daniel. Otunga works with R-Truth for a suicide dive to the outside onto both of their opponents.

The Miz comes in and stomps away at R-Truth. Front facelock applied by The Miz on R-Truth. Otunga wants in as R-Truth gets to his feet. The hold is still applied but not for long and R-Truth throws him off. R-Truth goes for the tag but The Miz blocks. Truth counters and gets a quick two count. The Miz hits a clothesline on R-Truth. He gets on top and hits some right hands.

The Miz works on R-Truth in the ropes. Miz goes off the ropes but Truth moves. Miz gets tied up in the second rope. Truth goes to his corner and reaches for Otunga. He can't make it as Miz pulls him back. Finally R-Truth makes it.

The Miz counters and throws Otunga off the ropes. Daniel tags himself in and hits a missile dropkick off the top rope onto Otunga.

Bryan hits several kicks to the upperbody of Otunga. Otunga tries to counter but Bryan applies a leg lock submission hold. The Miz tags himself in, breaking Daniel Bryan's hold. The Miz smacks Daniel and he retaliates - they go at it.

The finish:

With the referee trying to contain Daniel Bryan, R-Truth comes in and hits a dropkick on The Miz. Otunga hits his finisher then pins The Miz for the three count and the win.

Winners - R-Truth & David Otunga

After the match The Miz berates Daniel Bryan on the outside. He tells him he will have him out of NXT and to "go away". Daniel delivers an intimidating kick to The Miz and points at him. Daniel is upset as he heads to the back. The Miz looks on from the bottom of the ramp.

A video from "earlier today" is shown where Heath Slater talks about Carlito spitting apple in his face last week. Slater says last week he wasn't ready. He says that's not cool to him and he said if he had an apple, he'd hit Carlito right in between the eyes with it. Carlito better watch out because Heath Slater is about to blow his mind. Heath Slater, Christian's rookie, faces Carlito next.

-Commercial Break-

Did You Know - WWE NXT was watched by more people than College Baketball on both ESPN and ESPN 2?

Matt Striker interviews The Miz backstage asking if he let Daniel Bryan down. The Miz says he is the US Champ and Tag Team Champion. He says tag team means two people - where was The Miz? Bryan Daniel interrupts and says every partner he's ever had has carried him. The Miz talks about how talented he is but Daniel tells The Miz if he's so talented how come he is the one that lost tonight? Daniel shoves Miz and walks off.

They cut to Michael Cole and Josh Mathews. Cole says Daniel Bryan better step off because The Miz is how Daniel is going to get a WWE contract.

We cut to an informational "get to know" piece on rookie Justin Gabriel.

Backstage, Matt Hardy talks to his rookie Justin Gabriel where Hardy is talking up Gabriel's victory against William Regal from last week. Gabriel says he has a great teacher. Hardy says to follow his plan the exact plan this week. Chris Jericho comes in and interrupts with Wade Barrett. Jericho tells Gabriel he did a good job last week but Barrett is better. Jericho says he is the best at what he does and Barrett is his prospect. Barrett talks about destroying Daniel Bryan in three minutes last night. He asks what he thinks is going to happen to him tonight. Matt Hardy says my guy is going to beat your guy tonight - do you understand what I'm saying to you right now? Jericho says they'll see them out there.

Singles Match - "Rookie" vs. "Pro"
Heath Slater w/Christian vs. Carlito w/Michael Tarver

Pre-match:

Carlito comes out with a mic. Heath Slater - did I get that right? He says Slater should be honored he spat in his face last week. Carlito says Slater should be asking, no begging him to spit in his face again. Carlito drops the mic and gets in the ring. He bites an apple and throws it out of the ring. When he spits, Slater ducks and starts pounding away. The bell hasn't rang yet as Carlito counters. Referee Charles Robinson separates them.

Slater fights back but Carlito takes him down to the mat with a big boot. Carlito gets a two count on Slater.

Mid-match notes:

After months of intense negotiations, Rob Van Dam finally agreed to terms with TNA last week. Hulk Hogan of all people spoiled the surprise by noting last Thursday during a radio interview that a major star had signed on with the organization and then doing RVD's trademark pointing routine, apparently forgetting he was being filmed.

Though terms of Van Dam's contract have not been disclosed, he has made it clear he's not interested in working a full-time schedule. There is said to much grumbling among longtime wrestlers as they perceive established stars such as Van Dam being paid big bucks without working house show dates. Furthermore, more than one wrestler noted that RVD took an unnecessary shot during a recent interview when he said he couldn't understand why people want to see him go from beating superstars such as Steve Austin and The Rock in WWE to wrestling the likes of Christopher Daniels in TNA.

"When people say I'm a legend, I'm comfortable with that. If I'm a legend to you, I get that. You've seen me beat the best, you've seen me hang in there with the best. Now if I go hang in there with these young guys that really aren't eve proven, I'm not sure you're going to get that same perspective and the same satisfaction out of RVD that you thought you would," Van Dam said during an appearance on the Busted Open radio show in January.

"You've seen Rob Van Dam beat Big Show, The Rock, Steve Austin, and now you want to see me go over Christopher Daniels and that's really what you want to see? That's confusing to me."

Recently released WWE Diva Maria has re-launched her official website, MariaKanellis.net.

On her overhauled site, she comments on her departure from World Wrestling Entertainment in a blog post:

"Am I mad at WWE? No, I am not. I get it. I understand. They gave me my start and I am thankful. I will however miss the Divas. They will forever be a part of my story. Mickie giving wrestling her heart, soul and a real teacher in the ring. Michelle with her dedication to the divas division is making it grow. Nattie with all the history and excitement. Layla giving it fire, humor, and is a great friend. Kelly the girl that is the beauty that has that same desire as me to prove herself in the ring. Eve is a fighter and can choke you out! (Eve I can’t wait to come train with you now that I have some time on my hands.) Beth, the foundation, sweet, strong, and a great listener. These girls and all the Divas are my inspiration. I admire them. I will keep watching you succeed. Thank you Ladies.

"Will I be back? I don’t know. Life throws so much at you. Maybe this chapter is over and maybe we will revisit it later. Only the universe knows. Celebrity Apprentice! Hmmmmm… You will have to wait and see how I did. But, I can say that WWE helped me meet Mr. Trump. Make a Wish Foundation was the charity I worked for. I love that Foundation. Giving wishes to kids! Wow! So important. The Make a Wish kids are the best motivation I could ever have to work my butt off on Celebrity Apprentice."

The website heavily promotes her forthcoming music album.

WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross updated his blog with his thoughts about last night's Monday Night War, what he thinks about women's wrestling and WWE's new Shawn Michaels DVD set. You can check out that full blog as well as JR's delicious line of BBQ products at JRsBarBQ.com. Here's what JR said about:

RAW vs. iMPACT!: I am not going to analyze the Monday night wrestling sagas of last night for many reasons. One, I'm not unbiased and two, there is PLENTY of analyzing going on from wrestling websites that do that sort of thing for a living. It can be said, however, that those fans who are yearning for longer matches and more matches in general on TV are likely still yearning. Plus, and finally, some people forget apparently that they are producing 'episodic' television.

Women's Wrestling: We're still getting emails from peeved fans about my stance on women's wrestling. For those who love to rant, not read and not pay attention to what I have said, let's try this again. I am a fan of women in wrestling. I hired some major, female stars in my time. You can ask any female that ever worked on our roster and they will tell you that they were never disrespected by me. But, still, it is what it is. Women are currently positioned in the wrestling biz in a support role and one could easily make an argument that women in the wrestling biz, as a whole, are somewhat underutilized.

WWE's New Shawn Michaels DVD: Fans of HBK or wrestling in general should grab the new Shawn Michaels DVD that is available today (Tuesday). I've seen it, I love it and it brings back a truck load of memories. I only wish I had been available to be the one interviewing Shawn for this project but that apparently wasn't an option. Buy the DVD and I promise that you will love the amazing array of bouts that, arguably, the best in the biz today, performed in on a high level even when he was a hot headed kid. I remember Shawn from his first territory and even remember the big Cowboy fining Shawn right after Shawn made his Mid South debut for inadvertently missing a TV taping because he did not know that EVERYONE came to TV whether their name was on the booking sheet or not.
