The WWE Games team have officially revealed the first look at El Grande Americano, posting his full entrance video across their social media channels ahead of his upcoming debut in WWE 2K25.

El Grande’s release comes as part of the updated New Wave DLC Pack, which originally promised a “Special Celebrity Guest.” Just 24 hours before launch, however, WWE Games announced that the guest would be delayed. After two months of silence, the mystery slot was finally confirmed in July to be filled by none other than Chad Gable’s El Grande Americano persona, with a release window set for September.

The newly released entrance confirms that the version of El Grande included in the game is based on his debut match with Dragon Lee, complete with his singlet attire. However, many players were quick to notice a mask colour mix-up.

In the footage, the mask features blue wings and red on top, whereas the TV version had red wings and blue on top to reflect the U.S. flag. The discrepancy likely stems from the original WWE render, which showed the reversed colours, though that design was never worn on TV.

As this is just a simple colour swap, it’s possible the developers could fix the error before release, as previous previews have shown that early footage isn’t always final. Some fans also speculated the change was intentional to help distinguish the character’s mask from the purchasable version already available in The Island.

The entrance video also confirms that El Grande includes new voiceover lines, with Gable shouting “Gracias!” from the turnbuckle. This suggests that the character will feature a new voice taunt, complementing Gable’s already popular “Thank You!” catchphrase.

While no exact date has been announced for El Grande’s arrival, many expect him to launch either alongside the Attitude Era DLC Pack on September 17th or slightly earlier in the next patch update. Previews for the Attitude Era pack are also set to begin next week with entrance videos and screenshots.
