Not going into how, but if you want the why, I pre-ordered 2k16 and was horribly let down by the poor optimization and just didn't like the overall feel of the game. Even though it's almost the same I'm really digging this year's iteration. I was hesitant to buy before I tried because of the higher price tag to get all DLC, however, I'm sold, and buying it when I get paid Thursday. What I'm wondering is if someone who has the Steam version can tell me is what path does the game save to? I'm having fun playing but don't want to go too far into any of the more involved modes like Universe, My Career, or in making CAWs when I'm not sure whether or not I'll have to start over when I buy the game legit.
