so I have a condition called perthes disease which effects the hip joint and basically my ball that connects to my hip joint is slightly out of my joint which gives me osteoarthritis which makes daily challenges really hard for me to do like walking and going to work so I had a hip scope last year which means basically they clean out my hip joint by cleaning bits of floating bones allowing me to walk freely without any pain, but recently my hip has come to the point where I'm considering having a hip placement I'm not going lie I'm really scared knowing I'm gonna have something new, buts it's been since i was 9 when the perthes started and I'm now 22 I don't lead a normal life cause of it like socialising with my mates cause I'm in constant pain, I take medication for it but cause my body is dependent on it the medication does nothing, I just thought I'll get abit of support, cause I'm so bogged down with it. I want to live a normal life without any pain.

Jericurl makes an excellent point. I'd be lying if I said I smoked pot for medicinal purposes, but I suffer from chronic regional pain syndrome as a result of nerve damage and pot does wonders in relieving my pain. Its actually far more effective than my medication, only thing that can really compare to it is acupuncture (but that can be pretty hit or miss really).

Sucks to hear though, whether you get a hip replacement or not I really hope you can find a way to make it more manageable. It fucking sucks living in constant pain, I wouldn't wish that on anyone.

Thanks hipcavallo, I tried cannabis but for some reason it doesn't work. I got a doctors appointment on Tuesday so let's see what they say.
