the formulas of their matches were always the same, even in NXT: Lose every 2/3 tag matches, win number 1 contenders then get beat up by the champions, even though Enzo and Cass were more over than them.

Isn't that sort of the point though? You could say the same about guys like Daniel Bryan or Sami Zayn being over with fans but still losing constantly, winning number 1 contender matches and then losing to the champion. Every loss only gets them more over with the fans, so when they finally do get that Championship winning moment it means a lot more.

They're trying to book Big Cass as a dominant heel, but the problem is that everything he said about Enzo was true. You can hardly expect people to hate him for being honest. They were better off as a slightly stale but popular tag team, than two floundering singles competitors with no direction.

In fairness though Enzo and Cass were getting stale and I noticed they were getting booed in some cities

Splitting them up doesn't suddenly stop them from being stale. It only makes it harder for them to remain relevant when RAW already has a stacked singles roster, yet is lacking in the number of tag teams.

That depends on the wrestlers and the writing, look at the likes of the Hardyz, Edge & Christain and the Dudleyz, all of them split up and became great single stars after becoming stale

Enzo and Cass are more like Road Dogg and Billy Gunn. They're fantastic together, but completely suck on their own.

They need each other to balance out their strengths and weaknesses.

Billy Gunn hit his prime as a part of the Voodoo Kim Mafia. A TNA CREATION. Therefore TNA > NJPW

He hit his prime when he cashed in his Money in the Bank contract the night after WrestleMania.
