Because the XBox is stupid that way; Micro$oft obviously can't comprehend the idea that a burnt CD might actually be a legit copy - hell, I'd be half-surprised if they even realize there IS such a thing as a "legit copy"! It won't work. Period. Now, I haven't tried this, but I've heard that it will read a finalized CDRW; you might try that, if you can justify the expense. If you do, tell us how well it works.
