TMZ.com spoke with WWE Champion CM Punk yesterday and asked him about WWE’s decision to release Abraham Washington.

Although Punk said he doesn’t like to see anyone lose their job, he pointed out that Washington made a rape joke and there isn’t anything funny about rape.

Punk's got a point there. Still, they shoul'e suspended him for a couple months without pay, not fired him.

Chances are they'll probably rehire him down the line, but at least this way they're seen as doing something about it.
