Layla made her return to WWE tonight at the Extreme Rules pay-per-view to face Nikki Bella for the Divas Championship after Beth Phoenix was not cleared to wrestle.

Layla went on to win the WWE Divas Championship, pinning Brie Bella when the Bella's attempted “twin magic”.

Layla was been off WWE TV since Extreme Rules 2011 when she suffering a torn ACL and MCL in her right knee and required surgery.
