During the Six-Pack Challenge on Monday's Raw SuperShow, R-Truth attempted a slingshot somersault onto The Miz but his fall was not absorbed due to the former WWE Champion being out-of-position. R-Truth ended up falling back-first onto the floor, causing his head to whip back. At that point, the referee decided R-Truth was no longer able to compete and personnel assisted him to the locker room area.

WWE.com has confirmed that R-Truth avoided serious injury after suffering the fall. PWInsider.com reports that the basic outline of the match remained the same but adjustments were made from what was initially planned.

The Miz is being blamed for the errant spot. There was a ton of heat on him from company officials, including Triple H, backstage after the show. The WWE Executive Vice President of Talent "loudly disciplined" The Miz in front of wrestlers as soon as he returned to the back.

But that's just what it was, a mistake.Boreanitis said it best, show one successful human being that didn't make mistakes. Now maybe Miz'll learn from the mistake and be on-spot next time.

Stop marking on Miz, he actively avoided the spot and stepped back.

The funniest part was when R Truth puts his head under the ring where you have to assume there's a mic to speak to the back, and Miz joins him, both with there heads under the ring...and the cameraman focuses right on it. Way to preserve the fourth wall there camera guy.

Ended what was a very sloppy night for wrestling overall, with Eve taken out by a high overpowered clothesline (leave it to the victim to sell a move, the aggressor doesn't have to overdo it like Beth does everything), a Show Bryan match that just never picked up any steam, and a throw away tag match with a Khali that looks like he can barely walk.

In fairness to Miz, it was a stupid spot. Usually they catch with more than one person, and usually it's a dive (as demonstrated by Kofi 15 seconds later). R Truth does a flip, with a fair bit of velocity, if Miz caught him it would have fucking hurt Miz. He realistically could have copped a boot to the face. I think he saw that happening and the fear made him hesitate. Still the spot would have been discussed before the match and agreed to. Maybe Miz didn't understand that Truth was going to take it up a notch with a flip.

Exactly. Fuck, I'd move too if I were in his shoes. I know for a fact, aswell, if that had hit Miz, and if Truth hit Miz's head hard enough, it could have have severely injured his neck, which, I for one, don't want. The last thing the WWE needs is The Awesome One to be injured.
