So on Raw, in their Elimination Chamber hype (which is overbearing), Michael Cole states that out of 13 Elimination Chamber matches the championship has changed hands 7 times. He then states "that the odds are really not in the champion's favour".
Well hang on there. The champion retains the title just under half the time (about 46%), in a match where he has only a 16% chance of winning (one in six). So the odds are very much in his favour of the champion winning, he would infact be the favourite as one man he has a 46% chance of winning, with the other 54% split amongst the other 5 competitors.
On a "Champion to retain" the odds are ever so slightly against him. But to pick a winner, he would be the hot favourite.

Well said.
I heard the line when he said it but didnt really take much notice of it.
As far as the match goes I can only see Punk or Jericho coming out of the match with the title and then going on to have a 1 on 1 for it at WrestleMania.

Odds say Punk...as much as Cole would have you think otherwise. Feud-wise though, it's clearly leading to a Punk v Jericho one on one, and the only way I see that happening is Jericho winning.
