I didnt realise it was 10 years ago today since the launch of the original Xbox, but Microsoft are celebrating it with some free stuff on Facebook.
I was trying to think of the first game that I bought for it but i'm not sure if it was Halo or Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. (Launch Games)
Halo was great but of those two games I think I prefered Oddworld due to playing the previous games. The only downside at the time was that it wasn't Abe, but I still thought Munch's Oddysee was a quality game.
I cant really remember playing games online on the original Xbox, I think I only ever played the Moto GP demo online with Davin / Slim.

Oddworld, and you did play as Abe, as well as Munch. The online game I always played on the Xbox was Rainbow Six 3, I also remember streaming it to you on MSN or something, while using the voice commands, lmao.

lol
I remember playing small parts as Abe but cant really remember much of it. I did have a look for it last year after I bought the first 2 Oddworld's on Steam but couldnt find it.
It's also supposed to be getting an HD remake in the near future once Strangers Wrath HD has been released.

The parts where you had vending machines, especially the sprint boost thing, and running away from like 20 dogs, oh my god. I laughed so much at that section.

Didn't get my Xbox until after Halo 2 launched and that was my first Xbox game. I don't remember much about that generation, but I played Halo 2, Star Wars Battlefront, Star Wars Battlefront 2, Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic, Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic 2, Star Wards Renegade Squad (see a trend here? lol), Jade Empire and Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind. I did play other random games, but mostly these. I did play whatever OddWorld games were on there....Psychonauts, Ninja Gaiden and all that, but the ones I listed were my main games. Looking back, the RPGs on the original Xbox were so superior to the ones they're whoring out today
. I'm sure Skyrim's amazing, but I've given up on BioWare. D:

You've given up on Bioware? Creators of Dragon Age: Origins & Mass Effect 1 & 2!? That's crazy.
Maybe you should give up on Bethesda instead.

BioWare were better as a 360-exclusive developer. There's no arguing that. KOTOR 1, KOTOR 2, Jade Empire and Mass Effect 1 will always be the crown jewels of BioWare. Once they split from MS and joined EA, the quality of the "RPG" elements went to shit. Sure, the combat in Origins was great and the cutscenes in Mass Effect 2 were breath-taking, but they're not of the same quality as the other titles I mentioned. They took the exploration out and made Dragon Age 1 and 2 (especially 2) and Mass Effect 2 more streamlined games. It's more of a "run from point A to B" game instead of the open world "start at point A and try making it to point B, but feel free to explore points C through Z on your way there" formula that made me fall in love with their games. Don't get me wrong, ME2 was still a good game and I enjoyed DAO, but they were watered down games. Hopefully they'll redeem themselves with ME3 and The Old Republic, but I'm not holding my breath. And why would I give on Bethesda? I've played all of their titles, except WET, since Morrowind and haven't been let down once. Bethesda stuck to the roots of western RPG mechanics and they're being praised for it, as they should be.
