The demo isn't half bad. As a racing quasi-open world game it's pretty good, the handling is superb but it always has been in the series. The way a couple of the cut scenes played out with in-game/cinematic engines running at the same time was cool, but the plot involving Tanner posessing other drivers is frankly riduclous and a cheap tactic to change up the vehicles you use without having to do any on foot stuff which has been Driver's weak point.
I predict 7/10s.

I downloaded the demo yesterday but havent played it yet. Everything i've seen of it online so far looks good aside from the whole posessing thing, but if it makes for good fast gameplay i'll be happy.
Here's the trailer for anyone that's not yet seen it.

After playing this i'm not really a fan, I guess I was making the comparison to GTA when you can only really treat it as a racing game as that's all that your really doing. It just got boring playing through each of the missions on the demo as they all seemed the same.
The race mission with the two cars was different but I found it to distract from the race itself having to keep switching between the two cars.
I was going to get the game when it comes out but I dont think i'm gonna bother after playing the demo.
