So I picked up a PS3 slim last month with a few games which are listed below, is there anything that I should pick up/avoid. Also don't mention God of War 3 I'm sick of that formula of game for the moment. Tempted to pick up Demon's Soul but I'm on the fence about it, some say it's amazing and others down right hate it.

Little Big Planet 2
Metal Gear Solid 4
Infamous
Killzone 2
Uncharted
Uncharted 2

PSN GAMES
Flower
Dead Nation

Well demon souls is a no no, trust me I love rpg but that game is awful I died on the tutorial haha. Pick up oblivion elder scrolls IV now thats a game, also pick up x men arcade from PSN.

Games you need to get:

SVR 11 (my fav game due to caw mode)
Elder scrolls IV (best ps3 game ive played and best rpg to)
dragon age 2
disgea 3 (ps3 exsclusive)
devil may cry 4
DC online universe
Def jam icon (classic to me haha)
GTA IV all 3 in one box includes gay tony and lost n damned
COD modern warfare
Mortal kombat vs DC universe
Yakuza 3 and 4 (ps3 exsclusive)
Darksiders
Castlevania lord of shadows

king of fighters 12
street fighter iv
the darkness
bio shock 2
marvel vs capcom 3
gran turismo 5
wwe all stars
fear 3

There is so many games I could tell you to get, ones highlighter in bold I advise you to get elder scrolls, dmc 4 and castlevania tight games to get.

Wait for demon souls 2 if your interested in that game, demon souls one is pathetic in terms of difficulty and gameplay.

Well id still say get elder scrolls iv for ps3 if you do not have it, check out all the rpg games ps3 has to offer thats whats best about the ps3. demon souls is just so hard awful and confusing, but its graphics and presentation are nice and it is a good game dont get me wrong but due to diffuculty and frustrating AI id say avoid.

Get these ps3 exclusive rpg games they are all bad arse games:

yakuza 3 and 4, disgaea 3, dc online universe, white knight chronicles 1 and 2, heavy rain, valkyria chronicles, star ocean, eternal sonata, agarest, folkore, hyper dimension neptunia, demon souls black phantom edition (if you dare to try it haha I traded it in straight away), trinity universe, cross edge, last rebellion, king of fighters 12, venetica

Ps3 exclusive games to preorder or wait for

Dark souls
Disgaea 4
Elder scrolls V skyrim (not exsclusive but a must have)

I bought my PS3 for that reason but I really havent spent much time on it at all.

From the games that I've got i'd suggest Heavy Rain and Gran Turismo 5. Also if your a fan of LBP2 you can pick the first one up for a few quid.

I signed up for the trial aswell and downloaded James Pond as part of PS+ games but havent played it yet. It's a really good addition with the free games, I was hoping Microsoft would offer something similar instead of just the weekly offers.

I ordered Demon's Souls off ebay, I might pick up Heavy Rain though I'm a bit iffy about getting it. I'll be getting Infamous 2 though I'm waiting for a price drop as I have a ton to play and to catch up on.

Mostly play PS3 these days and buy most multiplats on it as well. (unless there's a major difference like bayonetta)

All the games you got right now are great games, especially uncharted 2.

You should also try heavy rain, ratchet & clank, littlebigplanet, and valkyrie chronicles (my personal favorite)

And about demon souls . . . great game but prepare to die A LOT!

Nice suggestions I had forgotten about the ratchet & clank games I'll have a look to see if there is a double pack out for it. Oh and something I have been thinking about the playstation move does anyone have it and if yes is it worth getting, I've noticed games like Heavy Rain and LBP 2 have move support but I don't know if it really adds that much to the gameplay over a standerd controller.

I had a look for some up coming move titles but there seems to be so few it doesn't seem worth to pick it up. Now I do have a bit of a complaint about the PS3 and that is the controller, is it just me or does the controller have dead zones on the analog stick, I've been noticing this a lot on FPS. They just seem very in imprecise compared to the 360 controller, added to that the analog placement and the L2 and R2 buttons are something I'm having a hard time getting use to in shooters. Tempted to pick up a 360 designed PS3 controller because of this.

think thats partly because you are too used to the 360 controller now..

as for the "dead zones" only time i notice that is shortly before i get informed that the battery is low.

If you've got a wired 360 controller you can get a usb converter to use it on the PS3, but it wont work using the play & charge kit and a wireless controller.

I use it for FIFA as I cant get used to the PS controller's sticks being so loose.

After playing Killzone 2 for a bit I have to say that game is the worst FPS game I have played this generation and it is all down to the sluggish controls and character movement, the whole game feels like your submerged in a bath of gravy. Now the online is god awful it feels like there is a delay to everything, say you kill some in the distance it doesn't instantly pop up that you got the kill so you're left wondering did I kill him?

I really can't understand how this game was reviewed well by the press, I really can't remember a game I stopped playing because the controls were this bad.

did you turn on the sensitivity toggle? there was a patch after the game came out to improve the clunkiness.

Yep turned the sensitivity all the way up and it still feels sluggish, I don't think there is any way of getting around it. I've heard they have improved upon it in KZ3 but I think I give up on the series which is a shame because I like the whole look of the game is it just the way it plays. Plus with the likes of MW3 and BF3 coming out I might as well put my money towards them.
