According to Nintendo at present they are only planning on allowing one Wii U controller per console but they havent finalised that decision.
Thinking about the Wii, the main reason I dont play it is because it's in another room and I cant always be bothered with the controls, so the idea of getting a Wii U and using the controller to display the screen and play Zelda in bed, etc. is slightly appealing.

I think you still need to have the console in the same room from what I've heard. Something about the Wii U that I thought about in the Zelda demo is that if the game uses the controller for a menu like inventory , if you switch the main screen to the controller you will lose that option and it will return to your standerd controller setup.
So when devs are making games for this platform they will have to make two alt versions if they go down that route.

Was the Zelda footage from a Wii U game or just to show what it is capable of?

Just a tech demo.
So you're hoping Tecmo revists the Dead of Alive Xtreme franchise on the Wii U then...

In follow up to this three month old topic, I picked up Infamous 2 today for fifty bucks brand new. It took three months to go down to "greatest hits" price. I'm taking this as a "I was right" moment.
Oh and it was next to a fifty copies of Warhammer Space Marine for 99 bucks that I thought "I'll see you at 50 bucks in a month".

its not a bad game. but sure over here, other than in the main game stores, most games drop in price within 3 months, even assassins creed brotherhood. a great, successful game, was down to £23 after 2 months.

I'm not saying it's a bad game, why would I buy it if I think it's shit? I just said it wouldn't sell. Games lower in price to spike sales, not for the goodwill of the gamer. AC Brotherhood was discounted because Ubisoft is on a yearly release for the series, they have to sell and sell quickly so they don't compete with the new game in 12 months. It sold shitloads at launch, when it started dropping off the charts after a month or two, it went into discount. It has like 6 million copies sold.
Infamous 2 has sold around 2 million. The game is good, they sorted out the appaling framerate of the first Infamous, it's a lot more cinematic in it's storytelling, and the powers are more varied. It still doesn't have a strong identity though, either in-game or in marketing. It doesn't present itself as a must-buy, and that's why sales of both games in the series have been average.

my only gripe with it was that for about 90% of it, the cutscenes where generic. wether you where good or bad it was the exact same story bar a few different powers etc. i know its more work etc but i'd much rather have a game that tells a different story if they want me to play it twice and make different choices. otherwise whats the point, rather than Good Vs Evil your choice should be "would you rather be blue or red"

Yeah I think they thought they were really being smart when they decided to use the chick and Zeke as good and bad consciences respectively, so that no matter the situation they would present both arguements and both story points. Sadly it's obvious and even a bit awkward having irrelevant dialogue thrust upon you.
My biggest issue with the game is the open world traversal is still...lacklustre. Climbing a building is still a chore, they placed those new boost pipes around, but like everything - they'res never one when you need it. A charged jump that launches you high would have been a much better idea...

well by the end you have that electric spiderman type thing etc which almost makes it too easy lol but aye, even if you could throw yourself higher up the wall with every jump.
