Did anyone catch this yesterday?

The new iPod Nano looks pretty cool, tho the rest look almost identical to how they were before. As for Ping I havent seen any of how it works, all i've seen is a bunch of headlines from sites predicting it will rival Facebook and Twitter.

Redundant, redundant, and redundant. If you buy an iPod touch you are officially mentally retarded, you may aswell pay the extra for the iPhone. All of them are just playing catch-up with the iPhone anyways. Well except the Shuffle, which was always marketed towards the mentally disabled.

i disagree chris.

whilst in MOST cases it makes sense to get the iphone over the touch, you will get ppl who dont need to carry an mp3 player around with them all the time and as such will want a smaller phone, i'm not going to delve into that too much cos you'll rip needless hole in it anyways.

the nano, again, ppl who like small things, dont feel the need for all the apps etc and as such its a money saving option...

I bought a fake shuffle from ebay for £8 for when I used to go running, apart from buying one for that kind of reason the shuffle is fairly pointless.

Aero, I completely agree with you. There are people who don't need to an mp3 player all the time, and don't want the bulk of an iPhone. Now here's the bit you were waiting for... for people that don't use their mp3 player constantly, their is no need to buy an expensive Apple iPod with gadgets and whizzbangery they won't ever use. They are just using it 30 minutes to an hour every day to exercise, why do they care what processor it has in it? For those people I recommend a Bizang Imports mp3 player for under a tenner.

the reason is this - some people are weird. they mayb listen to alot of music at home and have gigs upon gigs of music and therefore feel the need for 64gb mp3 players and feel the touch is the way to go even tho they will only listen to 4 gig of it in a year

they still seem to make the ipod classics with even bigger memory but theses dont get advertised too well.

i think i prefer the look of the new nano if im honest. very few features as its only supposed to be an mp3 player. as such? big touch screen buttons on a small screen, no stupid wheel controls and a supposed 24 hour battery life, im sure there are cheaper alternatives out there, and i dont need an mp3 player, but in respect to the previous nano's, i think its a great improvement.

I have an ipod touch, granted i got it for free with my mac. I dont agree that if your going to buy an ipod touch you should spend the extra for an Iphone. People arent going to switch their carrier.

in the uk every "carrier" supports iphones so over here its not an issue so much
