So my upload speed is pretty pethetic. I stream movies on Veetle.com, but my upload speed is nowhere near as fast as it should be.

I ran a few speed tests on speedtest.net and capped my download speed at 19mb/s & upload speed at 0.48mb/s. Does anybody know any way I can boost my upload speed?

Could try using a different browser and checking any software that might be using an auto update to see if its cutting in at all and the firewall would be a good place to check, thats all i can think of other than altering any connections and such.
I would try a few different browsers ive noticed firefox has been going down hill with each update recently its becoming a mess.

What is your max upload speed for your broadband package?

I'm on 20MB down and only 500kbs up, so if your on the same package that's right.

Most ISP's limit people to these kind of upload speeds to stop them running internet servers / gameservers on a home connection.

I have a 20MB package with Virgin. If that's the case, then I might consider looking elsewhere for an ISP that provides a better upload limit.

You have the same package as me then, i'm not sure what other ISP's have higher upload speeds.

Be, are the best I know from friends that use it, you can get up to 2.5mb upload speeds with them and 24mb down for around £20 a month.

My mate streams random tv shows and films on JTV but i've never understood why, he doesnt gain anything from it and it just eats up his bandwidth.

I make guides for games, I stream videos of me playing games. That's useful as they help people with them or help them decide to get the game or just enjoy me playing them you know?

Streaming movies is retarded. You're retarded. The people who watch your shitty quality streams are above all, the most retarded.

1.go to run
2.type gpedit.msc and click OK
3.go to Administrative Templates - Network - Qos packet Schedule
4.double click on Limit reservable bandwidth
5.click enabled.
6.change 20 to 0
7.click OK
8.restart computer
9.go to Ip-details.com
10.test your upload and download speed.
11.compare before and after.
