Just thought I like to rant on something.

Two weeks ago we had a bill for like $195 that we paid. Literally 3 days later we have a bill for $300 something that we also paid. Now we just got another bill for $701 dollars.

What the fuck!

Whilst on the subject of hating things, I hate my Internet provider, is it so hard to have a decent connection for 1 full day?

Well for one they're only supposed to be monthly payments.....and yes they said we haven't paid the previous bills and also added on late fees.

When's the last time the word retarded was used to describe somebody's impeded mental development, with no negative connotations though? There's nothing "too"-PC about banning a word which has been adopted primarily as a term of offense, to prevent it being used to describe somebody's handicap; my nigger.

I'm actually having the same problem with mine. When you use the phone it isn't supposed to disconnect you....not to mention it is still a very slow connection to begin with. I've had them come out here 3 times now and I swear it gets worse every time.

But that would mean the death of insult comedy! In all seriousness though, "retard", "faggot" and even "nigga" in particular have been thrown around so much that they're no longer heavily taboo, and have even made their way into becoming usual words in regular conversation. If people can't handle listening to a particular word, they can always buy earmuffs.

No I totally disagree. I don't think you can comment on the offensive nature of the words 'faggot' or 'nigger/nigga' unless you're either gay or black. People like Dan Savage are trying to reclaim faggot for the gay community but really, it's still horribly offensive. The gay people I know all agree it's the only word they are offended by.

The whole banning retard, how do you ban a word from use? Do you get picked up by the secret police when you say or something? Its just a word, i mean it has no value other than what one gives it. I mean Gay, Queer, and Faggot are used to describe Homosexual people, but they dont have anything to do with homosexuality. They mean Happy, Odd, or a Bundle of Sticks. I think we all enjoy saying retarded. The thing I don't understand is the term no longer has any connection to mental illness. The word isn't used in medical terms any more and hasn't been in ages. We should be allowed to call people retards as much as we like.

I stick by not liking 'faggot' though. I'm guilty of using it as an insult myself but I've never said it to a gay guy.
