I'm doing Music Production at University, and for one of my modules I have to create a short track using MIDI to accompany a scene from a Video Game or Movie which compliments the narrative.

None of that is particularly important to my question but I thought it'd give the following question a bit of context:

What are some visually unique games that would be interesting to create music for? I was thinking ICO but the videos I've found for that all look like dog-shit. There was a game I remember coming out on the Gamecube late on in it's life which was commended for it's artwork, but I don't remember what it's called. Something to do with a Japanese wolf or maybe a big cat?

So yeah, if anyone knows what that game is then do tell, or just shoot off random suggestions of games with an interesting art style, I haven't got a clue, I've not paid attention to any games except Pro Evo for a good few years now, and I don't think my first idea of playing Vindaloo over the top of a football game would score me a first get me.

GET ME BRUV
You are thinking of Okami
Bioshock might be nice (Chris calm down) as it's got a very distinct period setting. A lot of history and references you could make there.
Mirrors Edge although cinematically it's dull as fuck

Why was I mentioned? Going for a Mick Foley'esque cheap pop?

I had a look at the official first trailer for Mirror's Edge and it was perfect, could have pretty much been made exactly to meet the contraints of our project, so I decided to use that. Top man, top man.

If the results are any good I'll post it up when I've finished it, that'll be a nice treat eh?
