played this last night
very cool
it definitely feels like Fahrenheit but better, which is great. Not really a game, more a movie you can walk about in. The graphics are a mixed range, sometimes a little too close to life with flat lighting and boring colours (naysayers of 'next gen' color post processing, look around outside and notice how dull it is.) but when the environments are done right, they are great.

you obviously don't get to see alot in the demo; one scene was cool, the second, mind numbingly boring. This game is more about story, so the demo is a little wasted, but still, im probably going to pick this up. Dialogue changes all seemed a little similar though, wouldn't want to replay as they all branch towards one speech that's the same.

I've seen instructions around the net on how to get a code for a Heavy Rain demo, but I'm not sure if it's this demo or what. It's be a hard game to make an enjoyable demo for, taking a scene out of context and dumping the player in to poke around, having no idea how this plays into the greater scheme...doesn't sound like fun at all.

Yeah, as much as I am extremely excited for this game, I was not really impressed with the demo. Sure it had some cool scenes and all, but I have no motive to do anything in them. After the first scene I switched it off and am just going to wait for the full game to come out.

Also, the walking controls are shit. I can see how it would benefit, but my god it's done poorly, from only that small segment that I played, I was walking into walls and trying to get to a certain spot was annoying. It feels like the characters move way too quickly when you point in a direction...

Yeah I noticed that when I still had a PS3....it has ridiculous downloading times. Thought about buying the new small PS3 though.

I've just got round to playing through the demo tonight and it was pretty much like your playing a movie. The character models are amazingly detailed and probably the best i've seen in any game to date.

As for the gameplay, i'm not really a fan of it. I liked how they done the fight scene with the button presses which seem to be happening in more and more games now, but the whole walking around and investigating part seemed to just wear down my patience. I know that realisticly the character wouldnt run around the crime scene, but it would have come in really handy to have that option here. I decided to go about exploring the crime scene for all the clues, but after i'd said i'd stay and investigate, I soon regretted it. It just seemed to take way to long to walk from one side of the enviroment to the other, especially when you can see a marker that you want to get to but your having to wait while the charcter walks there. Apart from that the button movements for leaving your card, using your inhaila, etc. are nice, but they seem a bit pointless other than the fact they may have just been to get the player used to how the actions work. In the long run I dont think it'd be long before the actions become an annoyance.

Well fuck you. It's not going to be annoying, fahrenheit did it great and this game is just taking it to a whole other level. Btw, at the investigate bit, I did it all really quickly, R1 - examine, climb up hill exam tracks, then examine something else. Then go to the tent and cross-reference.

Go back to car.

Oh btw, the dude with the beard? He's the origami killer.

Yeah fuck you, I got spoiled on and now so are everyone who reads this.

Did it say something towards that regards in the trailer? I wasn't really paying much attention.
