I enjoy shouting, so I think I'd like a shout box if at all possible. Perhaps in the gap under the status updates box? It can't hurt...can it?

There's an Official ShoutBox in development but there's still a few bugs with it. It's in the final phase of testing at the mo, so as soon as it's signed off and officially released i'll add it and set it up.

I like Jitz's idea and in addition why not add or maybe replace the new-topic box with a last post box but limit it to off-topic and general wrestling if possible, that way regular members know which topics are currently active right from the front page. Hell it might help bring people into discussions more if they see a new post in a certain topic every couple of minutes.
