OK, I'm going to step in here.

I'm not having a go at people here, caws or code-x, so please read my post before jumping down my throat.

Hundreds of sites stole codes created by myself and other members here from SD!2, JBI, SYM, etc. but do we go to these places and arguing about it? No. For the simple reason that if you create a code, caw, entrance, etc. and hundreds of people try your creation and want to let others know about it, that's a huge compliment. When it comes to caws, people like WolfgangJT posted his caws here and at caws, why? because he'd made something he was proud of and wanted to show it off. Instead of just posting it at one site and having the people there not allowing people to spread the word.

If I come across a site that has some of my old codes, caws, etc. then I'm happy to see they've spread around the Internet and someone must have liked them. Denying people from spreading one of my creations isn't really going to benefit anyone is it?, at the end of the day I've made them for people to use and pass around.

Put it this way, Jeff Hardy leaps from the cage on to Umaga and the clips appear all over Youtube, in people's avatars, signatures, etc. Do you think Jeff Hardy would be pleased to see his leap all over the internet being talked about by his fans? or exclusively on WWE.com?

At the end of the day if someone wants to keep there creations exclusive to a certain board, then if they get in touch with me (PM me) i'll make sure people posting caws here are aware of it.

As for not posting credit, there's no caws here that I have come across that don't have credit. If there is any then the chances are it's from a new member that has seen the caw, liked it and wants to post it but hasn't posted caws before and doesn't realise they should always post credit to the creator.

Finally,

This might annoy people from caws and code-x but in my eyes this is fact... Caws / Code-X would not be around if Smacktalks was not around in the first place and this is the same for us. Smacktalks would not be around if SD2H / Smacktalks.net was not around before us. In time your bound to see more sites appear in "the next generation" of these sites and people will post caws, etc. from there on your own boards. It's at that point you'll get people posting at your own boards with the same posts as this one and things will have come full circle.

If someone spreads your creation across the net, ENJOY IT!
