I know I'm not the only one here who shells out 60 bucks a year on Madden on some minor graphical additions and updated rosters. I just wonder why EA simply can't throw the new rosters on XBL for the people who just want the new rosters and just release a new game every other year or so. Granted EA is fucking greedy, but it'd allow them to take the time to perfect the new improvments (IE Vision Cone) and make some money by releasing the new rosters.

At the same time, a yearly Madden game is tradition and it wouldn't be the same without a new game each year, and Madden is a HUGE cash cow for EA. I'm kinda split on the whole subject but would like to see what everyone else thinks.

The reason why they won't release downloadable rosters is because they know people like you are dumb enough to keep buying the Madden games for new rosters.

There's definitely a place for the yearly sport update. The market they're designed for appreciate a slight graphics boost each year along with a new feature or two, no matter how gimmicky they are. A stand alone roster update each year would be a dissapointed to the people that enjoy there's yearly updates. For the people with only a casual interest in the sport, they can buy a new version every two or three years to really see a jump in the game like you would in any other type of title.

IMO Mdden 07 was a huge improvment,adding the Hall Of Fame Mode and finally being able to be someone other than the QB on offense before he throws/hands off the ball rocked, I loved being the running back on a pass play and just laying out an DE or LB.

pro evo in fairness usually makes some decent changes year on year, ny annual game that does so is generally worth the buying if you liked its predecesseses... one before the most current one.

Yeah 07 was good... but how did you feel about 06 or 05?

im one of the dumbasses out there who cant survive unless they have the new madden every year the night its release. im REALLY lookin forward to this years. die hard raider fan and former employee (no joke) and ya i know they suck but i realllllly wanna play as russell
