I cant believe Call of duty has gone from WWII to modern warfare(name of the game BTW) i love COD series and ill still get it, but has the WWII shooter era come to a end. The only WWII games ive heard that are coming out soon are Medal of Honor: Airborne and Brothers in Arm: Hells Highway. but i cant blame game studios how many WWII battles can ya make before you run out.
Shame in my Opnion but eh.

I was so happy when I heard that CoD4 would be a more modern game. While I loved 1-3, the WWII setting was starting to feel a bit dated. I just hope "Modern Warfare" refers to wars of this generation, and not about the current situation in the Middle-East. Tom Clancy pretty much has the futuristic FPS genre clinched for now, and I just can't see a CoD game in that kind of environment.

I'm glad that they finally moved away from WW2. It got so old. And I belive that to be successful I believe that more vehicles should be involved like aircraft.

Aye, but there most likely won't be any air battles in the game. Infinity Ward did hint in the latest edition of Game Informer that they wanted to incorprate helicopters into both the single-player and multi-player aspects of the game.
