Just curious.......did all of you guys that chose Gears of War as your favorite Xbox 360 game actually play it? Or did you just pick it because you heard about it? Honestly, Gears of War is a fun game, but it's a far cry from being the best 360 game. But yeah.....here's my list.

XBOX 360 - Blue Dragon (Japanese version) when this game hits your respective nation's store shelves, you owe it to yourself to try this one out for yourself.
PlayStation 3 - N/A Because I don't own one, yet.
Wii - N/A Fuck the Wii. I got one at launch and got so bored with it, I traded it back 2 weeks later for $160 store credit at GameStop. Atleast it paid off my Halo 3 Legendary Edition. :)
XBOX - KOTOR or Jade Empire.....not sure.
PlayStation 2 - EverQuest Online Adventures. omg I lost SO much of my life because of this game.
GameCube - My love for Nintendo faded with the N64, so I never owned this console.
Dreamcast - Shenmue
PlayStation - Chrono Cross. Hands down the best RPG of its time.
Nintendo 64 - WWF No Mercy and GoldenEye.
TurboGrafix 16 - Dragon's Curse. lmao I loved that game.
Super Nintendo - Toss-up between Super Mario World, Chrono Trigger and Secret of Mana.
Sega Genesis - Sonic 1,2 and 3
Nintendo Entertainment System - Mike Tyson's Punch-Out
PC - Half-Life and World of Warcraft.
DS - Again......Nintendo lost its appeal after the N64.
Gameboy - Tetris, duh!
Game Gear - lol
PSP - Lumines
Atari - Joust
Commodore64 - lol
Amiga - lol....
Amstrad - is this a real console?
Mobile Phone - lmfao!
Virtual Boy - Mario Tennis

I promise you, I've played the game. I've beaten Campaign on all difficulties. (Which I do admit, gets boring.) But I've played the multiplayer every single day that I've owned the game. I got the game on Christmas, it's now April 7th, and I'm still not sick of the game. The gameplay is incredible. The multiplayer never gets old. Atleast for me it doesn't. It's a great game that shits all over anything that's on the 360 right now.

Gears is a great game, but it's a far cry from games like Oblivion, CoD3 and Blue Dragon. I don't know if it's the fact that it doesn't have a solid list of previous titles behind it like those 3, but it just feels too raw for me. Oblivion and Blue Dragon are the obvious choices for me because, well, I'm an RPG whore. And CoD2-3 had some of the best multiplayer on a console I've ever seen. That's the biggest turn-off I have with Gears of War. I don't really care for co-op and Gears only has 4-on-4 online multiplayer. Even though CoD3 wasn't as gory as GoW, the 24-player multplayer more than made up for it.

That's something that I do agree with you. 4 on 4 multiplayer is a little bit of a disappointment, but the game keeps bringing me back day after day. So apparently, it's doing something right.

Yeah, Iain, I'm MAMT lol. I just got bored sitting here so I decided to pop in and see what's going on. And before there's a flame war against me here because of my GoW bashing, let me say this. My opinion comes after playing over 100 360 titles, both NTSC and Japanese. I was not directly bashing the game, I just said it's a far cry from being the best game on the system. When Blue Dragon hits US shores (if you like JRPG's), your opinion will quickly change. I just wish you guys could get to play Project SYLPHEED. That was an amazing game, aswell.

No, no 4 on 4 is perfect. It's not a game that goes overboard on players, which is a good thing, personally COD3 shit on the Call of Duty legacy, it seriously ruined it. COD2 is a fucking superb game, how did they manage to get it that wrong in the sequel?

I agree with Oblivion, great game. However, as much as I want to play it nearly every day, I haven't. Not even in 2007, I don't think.
