I know there's a gaming discussion forum, but I didn't post this in there for a reason.

This post has nothing to do with the Wii, it's just a way for me to kill some of the... 30 hours, 1 minute, 6 seconds (and counting)...until I have in my posession, what just-so-happens to be a gaming console.

Seriously, this is the worst thing ever, I don't think I was ever this excited about even Christmas when I was a kid. I can't sleep, I can't think about anything else, and what makes it worse, is that if I'd pre-ordered from Gamestation I'd have 7 hours less to wait, because they're opening at midnight, and Game are opening at 7am. It sucks, I know I will get absolutely NO sleep what-so-ever tomorrow night, my housemate and I are just gonna have a caffeine-pill and Wii-video marathon all the way through.

And also, because it's not about gaming, and more about one mans test of his patience.

You can have the half that I'm paying towards it. You'll have to come up with a deal with my housemate over custody of the console though.

The best course of action is to cryogenically freeze yourself until then.

Well I've got to go into town today to get the cash out to actually pay for it tomorrow morning, then I have University from 2-5. When I finish, I'll come home, clean the lounge, watch new Scrubs at 9pm and then take some sleeping tablets and go to bed. I'll set my alarm for 6:00, giving me long enough to get dressed and take the 2-minute bike ride into town to hopefully join the queue at the very front.

22 hours exactly.

I;ll be queuing for about 10 minutes max, I'm #22 in the pre-order list, got a call yesterday saying they definitely have one for me.

Console with one controller, a nunchuck, and Wii Sports is 179.99, but I'm getting a bundle with the Console, Wii Sports, a Controller, a nunchuck, Wii Play, an extra controller and Zelda for £254.99, and getting an extra nunchuck and some Wii points too.

well, i just won £200 worth of DSG vouchers from work, along with my staff discount i'm very very tempted to go down to my nearest currys or pc world 2mw as nobody ever thinks of going there 1st, and getting one for free... just a thought.

I've been having a blast just going through the menus on the thing!

I was going to buy some Virtual Console games then realised how much Nintendo thought they could rip me off for and stopped myself. $15 for Super Mario 64? I could buy a N64 for that price and pick games up for $5 each. $10 for convenience? On top of that NES games are only half that price, $7.50 for game that's nearly 20 years old? I'm all for 8bit nostalgia, but my wallet draws the line at now more than $5 for something I MAY play again after I've bought it.

There's stacks of blank channels that in the menu that hopefully Nintendo and associates aren't too slow in filling. It's really just all a tease for early adopters, same with every launch I suppose. A lot of potential is there, people just have to get behind it.

Oh and they only reason to have one at launch is Zelda. If you're picking up a Wii without Zelda, you'll be disappointed. Zelda is every bit awesome.

It's a strange feeling knowing that although you've turned your console off at night (standby mode ofcourse), when you wake up and turn that baby on, something new might just be there. WiiConnect24 is a great idea.

have reason to believe that, if its not up and running already, wii opera browser should be live from 2mw too.

Bye man! Right now I only really want the Bowling one, so I'm gonna wait it out. It's so tempting to get one now just because it's so different and what-not.
